It's one thing to have your show canceled, but you really have to cross a line to get your reruns canceled. That puts you in Bill Cosby territory.
But that's what happened on Tuesday to Roseanne, as her racist tweets not only convinced ABC to pull the plug on the revival but also blew her syndication money.
According to The Wrap, CMT, Laff, Paramount Network, and TV Land are all pulling the classic episodes from their schedule starting Wednesday. A spokesperson for Laff said:
"While we believe viewers have always distinguished the personal behavior of the actress Roseanne Barr from the television character Roseanne Conner, we are disgusted by Barr's comments this week. Therefore, we are removing the original ‘Roseanne' series from the Laff schedule for the time being, effective immediately."
Damn. That puts Roseanne AND Roseanne reruns on the long list of shows canceled this year...
