Get ready to head back to the wizarding world, because the third installment of Fantastic Beasts is finally on the way. Warner Bros. announced a handful of details about the upcoming film back in September 2021, including the official title and a new release date. After being previously scheduled to hit theaters on July 15, 2022, "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore" will now drop three months earlier.
The first official trailer for the new film also arrived on Dec. 13, 2021, and it gives us a glimpse of Mads Mikkelsen debuting as Gellert Grindelwald - the villain role previously played by Johnny Depp in the first two movies. We also see the veteran cast - which includes Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, and Callum Turner - return to defeat the dangerous wizard. The film's second trailer released on Feb. 28 with a deeper dive into Gellert's nefarious plot to take over the wizarding world.
