Aaaaaaaaand the feud continues!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for literally 10+ years, you’re aware of the epic ongoing feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West. There have been periods where the conflict between them settled down, but after the surprise release of the full phone call between the two superstars regarding Kanye’s song Famous, all bets are (once again) off.

Now, another player in the saga has emerged to throw his two cents into the mix. This time it’s rapper and producer Havoc of the hip-hop duo Mobb Deep, who produced a couple of tracks from The Life of Pablo — including Famous.
In a recent conversation with the Daily Beast, Havoc weighed in on Swift’s reaction to the controversial lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.” Unsurprisingly, the producer sided with his artist. He said:
“I think artists are artists, and she should really chill out. It’s not that serious. She has an awesome career, and she don’t need to be fighting with another awesome artist. Freedom of speech is alive and well—or should be—and she shouldn’t be going out there complaining about not clearing this.”
The pop superstar’s camp always maintained that Taylor was uncomfortable with the “misogynistic” message of the song, and that she was never made aware of the full “bitch” lyric. The leaked video of the phone call seemed to vindicate that perspective, especially since the then-26-year-old can be heard saying it would be “mean” if he referred to her as a bitch.
Havoc, however, had his own perspective on what went down. He continued:
“He was giving props—it wasn’t like he was trying to diss you. Some people are a little too sensitive for the game but this is the game that we’re in. There’s no time for soft skin—and I’m not just saying that because she’s a female. Everyone has to display tough skin for this industry since everyone is gonna come at you, and you might like it or you might not.”
A man calling a woman “too sensitive”? Groundbreaking!
We don’t think Tay really needs any advice about making it in the industry, considering she’s been in the game almost 15 years and remains one of the biggest pop stars in the world!

BFF Selena Gomez would agree. Discussing the Tennessee native’s hit song Lover with Zane Lowe for Apple Music on Monday, Sel gushed:
“[There’s] nothing really to say other than this is another song that shows her ability to take it back to the old, to also combine it with her challenging to do new things with her music. … So I think that’s as pure that—I’ll always, not even biased, just think she is one of the greatest songwriters.”
For her part, The Man singer seems unbothered by the (endless!) drama. She posted a gorgeous fresh-faced Instagram with the caption, “Not a lot going on at the moment” (real Swifties will remember it as the phrase on her iconic 22 tee).
What do U think, Perezcious readers? Are you still #TeamTaylor? Or do you think she still needs to toughen up, after all this time? Sound OFF with your thoughts in the comments (below)!
