Just when we thought the zombie genre had been beaten to a pulp, Focus Features is here with a fresh new morsel for all you horror fans to devour!
The trailer for the upcoming horror-comedy The Dead Don’t Die dropped on Monday, and it promises a thrill ride of laughs, bloodshed, and of course, lots of zombie decapitations.
Adam Driver and Bill Murray take the lead as two police officers of a rural town plagued by a virus that makes its dead residents, well… not so dead. The normal amount of confusion, paranoia, and zombie slayings ensue. But these undead are a bit different than the ones we’re used to seeing on the big screen…

According to the trailer, the zombies in this film aren’t just after human brains: they’re also bent on satiating themselves with human vices like caffeine and, as a zombie played by the great Carol Kane says in one scene, “Chardonnay.”
Same, Zombie Carol Kane. Same.
Joining the fun are Selena Gomez, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, and Rosie Perez, who are all trying to avoid getting eaten in the film. If that’s not enough to get your mouth watering, Tilda Swinton hacking up zombies with a f**king samurai sword should. (If it doesn’t, we cannot help you as you probably don’t have a pulse.)
