Stephen Belafonte is clearing his name (or attempting to).
As we reported, in her autobiography Brutally Honest, Mel B claims her ex-husband made more than five dozen sex tapes of the couple, some of which she has “no memory of” making. She also says she “had threesomes to please [her] partner.”

During their nasty court battle, the Spice Girl claimed Belafonte drugged her, and secretly filmed their romps to hold it over her head.
In the second part of his interview with DailyMailTV, the 43-year-old producer calls BS on her claims, and says his former wife was often behind the camera.
He alleges:
“She said that I had sex tapes, she had the world thinking that I filmed pornography, you know, sex tapes of my wife without her knowing… My wife was filming me. I want to show the videos of her filming me. She’s completely dressed and turns the video on herself and talks about, ‘Hmm it’s so sexy’ and continues filming me with another person having sex.'”
As part of their mediation settlement, the musician says she agreed to drop domestic violence charges against her ex if none of the sex tapes were played in court.
In his candid sit-down, the businessman also slams Mel for openly discussing her cocaine use in her new book.
“She blames me for her cocaine use, she blames me for the sexual stuff, it’s just disgusting… I don’t know why a person who cares about their daughters, who is girl power, would ever in a million years want this to be out there for your younger daughters to read.”
During their divorce battle, Mel accused Belafonte of conspiring with their former nanny Lorraine Gilles, and threatened to release their sex tapes.
(Gilles says she had a five-year sexual relationship with Mel that included threesomes with Belafonte.)
Belafonte shot back by saying:
“I’d have to be crazy to even think about releasing any of the sex tapes publicly and why would I want to subject my daughters to that anyway?”
He also says Mel convinced Gilles to get a tattoo near her crotch that read, “Property of Mel B.”
While Belafonte admits to filming some consensual sex tapes with Mel, he did so to show therapist Dr. Charles Sophy that she was in a bad place.
“The videos were taken to give to her therapist. So Melanie would take accountability. Melanie does not take accountability for anything. If I were to say, ‘Why were you doing cocaine in front of the kids?’ She would say, ‘You’re yelling at me.’ And I’d go, ‘I know I’m a little pissed off. You were doing cocaine in front of the kids,’ and she would never deal with the underlying issue.'”
He also denies ever doing drugs with the singer.
“I never did drugs with my wife… We never had that relationship. We had drinks together. The drinking is bad. It’s the chemical imbalance of Melanie’s brain once drinking starts.”
According to Belafonte, he once threatened to call Child Services if he ever saw her use drugs in front of the kids again. However, the therapist allegedly advised against it.
“Dr. Sophy said you may lose your children and it’s a can of worms that you may open up, that you may regret… So I tried to work with our therapist who then prescribed Melanie with shots of Antabuse [a drug that can treat problem drinking by creating an unpleasant reaction to alcohol] and other medicines where she could not take the drugs or alcohol.”
