Does the "Ted Lasso" Finale Set Up a Spinoff? What We Know About the Show's Future

The question on everyone's mind is what's going on with "Ted Lasso"? Season three ended with an extra-long final episode on May 31 that sees Ted (Jason Sudeikis) return to America and reunite with his son. But the rest of the AFC Richmond gang stay behind in London, continuing their lives that revolve around the beloved football team.

Though "Ted Lasso"'s cast and creator have acted as if season three is the final lap for the series - especially after their farewell-esque finale - Apple has not yet confirmed the latest episode as the series finale. Lots of fans are wondering if "Ted Lasso" will one day return for a season four or if the show could have a potential spinoff. Here's what we know about all the possibilities.

Is "Ted Lasso" Ending?

Sudeikis and the show's other creators have been pretty vocal about their Apple TV+ series only running for three seasons. Back in March, Sudeikis told Deadline, "This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell." The final episode of season three also seemed pretty final, with an extended montage showing the Richmond crew's lives in a small time jump.

The day the finale premiered, actor Brett Goldstein (who also served as a writer on the series) wrote an emotional Instagram caption that definitely seemed like a goodbye message. "Ted Lasso was a truly magical experience. A show about love, made with love, by the funniest, most beautiful and kindest people on the planet," he wrote in part. Goldstein added, "Ted Lasso changed my life in every conceivable way. I will always feel grateful for it. . . . I learned so much, I laughed all the time and I made friends for life. I will cherish it always. It's been fxxxing wonderful."

Is "Ted Lasso" Getting a Spinoff?

Sudeikis addressed the spinoff buzz back in March. When asked if there's room for an extension of "Ted Lasso" during an interview on "The Jess Cagle Show," he said, "I think there absolutely is."

"I'm interpreting that question as, 'Is there enough soup to feed more people?' Yes," the series star and cocreator continued. "But sometimes we just wanna make a new soup." Despite his comments, Sudeikis didn't exactly confirm a spinoff. "I don't know, but I believe that there's enough juice left in the Richmond orange, if you will, to squeeze out stuff," he added. "It's just, you know, we're still squeezing the season three orange."

What Would a "Ted Lasso" Spinoff Be About?

As for the show itself, there are a lot of plots it could still cover, including Roy, Jamie, and Keeley's complicated love triangle; Colin's journey as a gay footballer; and the next chapter of Rebecca's life. But probably the biggest thing set up by the season three finale is Keeley and Rebecca's quest to start a woman's team for AFC Richmond.

A new series about AFC Richmond's brand-new women's side could bring back those two characters while introducing a new slate of players and coaches. But for now, "Ted Lasso" fans will just have to wait and see what the future holds.

Allison Holker Takes Her Kids to the "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" Premiere

Allison Holker has a super family. At the May 30 premiere of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," Holker walked the red carpet with all three of her kids. The powerful crew included Zaia (3), Maddox (7), and Weslie (15), whom she shares with late husband, Stephen "tWitch" Boss. The younger two embraced the Spider-Man theme in matching red outfits and black Nike shoes, while Weslie looked all grown up in a pinstripe suit she wore off the shoulder.

Since tWitch's death in December 2022, Holker has opened up about how her relationship with her kids has evolved. "My loves we are stronger than you could ever imagine. And we will stand strong together as a unit, and find the courage to hold each other up," she captioned a March 3 family photo on Instagram. "I will be here for you every step of the way through the highs and lows, the ups and the downs. I will protect and I will guide, I will be a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, I will have mom jokes ready for when you need a good laugh. The love and light inside our hearts will still shine."

In an interview with the "Today" show that aired on May 3, Holker said her younger kids still struggle to understand their dad's death. "They just ask, 'When is daddy coming back?' and that's a really hard one," she said. But spending quality time as a family helps them all stay strong. In April, Holker also took Maddox and Zaia to Universal Studios Hollywood to visit Super Nintendo World and spend time in Hogsmeade. "Beautiful memories being created," she wrote, smiling right beside them. Read on to see the family's latest appearance as they prepared to enter the Spider-Verse together.

Matty Healy Seemingly Pokes Fun at Taylor Swift Dating Rumors: "Will He Ever Address It?"

It may be just over a month since reports of Taylor Swift's split from ex Joe Alwyn were made public, but rumors quickly began swirling about the singer's love life. The latest? That she's dating Matty Healy, frontman of The 1975. It's no secret the pair have been friends for years, but the internet is going wild with news that they may have taken their relationship to the next level.

Most recently, Healy poked fun at the speculation while performing with his band during BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend festival in Dundee, Scotland, on May 27. "Is it all a bit? Is it sincere? Will he ever address it?" Healy said to the crowd, adding, "All of these questions and more will be ignored in the next hour. Ladies and gentleman, this is The 1975."

The rumors reached a fever pitch on May 25 when People reported that a source saw the pair kissing at the exclusive venue Zero Bond in NYC while reportedly hanging with celeb friends Margaret Qualley, Jack Antonoff, and Zoë Kravitz. (Reps for Swift did not respond to POPSUGAR's request for comment, while reps for Healy could not be reached.) Earlier, on May 11, buzz about the burgeoning couple emerged when a Swiftie posted a photo on Twitter of the artists together at a restaurant with their mutual friend Antonoff. Per the fan, a friend's dad spotted them and snapped the pic. They did not give details about where the sighting occurred, though Swift was set to perform three shows on her Eras Tour in Philadelphia that weekend.

Healy has been a staple at Swift's Eras tour shows. A weekend earlier, on May 5, Healy was spotted at Swift's Nashville show. In videos and photos shared online, Healy can be seen hanging out with a few other people in what appears to be a gated-off, VIP section of the stadium. Fans also shared videos of him dancing to "Shake It Off" on Twitter. It's also worth noting that Healy's close friend, Phoebe Bridgers, joined Swift on stage.

Bridgers was back again for the May 6 show (also in Nashville), but this time Healy joined her onstage for her set too, per People. Since the two are frequent collaborators, it wasn't unusual to see them join forces in the opening, but with romance rumors between the 1975 lead singer and Swift swirling, it was interesting to see him take to the stage during her show.

News of Swift and Healy's rumored relationship first broke via the front page of The Sun, which revealed on May 4 that the pair have allegedly begun dating. "She and Matty are madly in love. It's super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago but timings just didn't work out," a source told The Sun. Swift was indeed spotted wearing a 1975 band T-shirt back in 2014.

Years later, Healy would open up about his brief connection with Swift and the ensuing wave of speculation and how it made him certain he would never date Swift. "I feel like I'm not very good at relationships," Healy told Q Magazine (via NME) in March 2016, adding that he was afraid of just becoming "Taylor Swift's boyfriend." "The reason I mention that is because if I had [properly] gone out with Taylor Swift the first thing, I would've [thought was] 'F*cking hell I am NOT being Taylor Swift's boyfriend,'" he said, admitting, "That's also a man thing, a de-masculinating, emasculating thing."

That May, Healy would walk back those comments slightly in a string of tweets (per Yahoo). "I had fears of being 'somebody's boyfriend' (remember this is all speculation as we never dated!) before even being recognized for my music or presence as a person in my own right," he wrote, continuing, "I was being HONEST about all the thoughts, feelings, and situations that come along when people ASSUME you are dating the most famous woman on the planet. I am telling you from experience it's an all-consuming whirlwind and something that for me elicited a lot of self-exploration."

Healy went on to praise Swift's character, writing, "I have said on countless occasions that I found her to be one of the most gracious, hard working, creatively gifted, and beautiful women that I have had the pleasure to meet. I personally have a lot of respect and admiration for her."

Despite what the most recent sources are saying, Healy confirmed the pair never dated, concluding, "I didn't even date Taylor, but the media's incessant and brutal obsession with her has meant that even a guy who DIDN'T DATE HER has been so battered by their never-ending questions that he's inevitably said something that can be lifted and moulded into something that resembles 'shade.' It's really sad."

Since then, Swift has been linked with Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston before settling down with British actor Alwyn. The couple were together for six years and lived in London before splitting this year. "Taylor and Joe actually split up back in February, so there was absolutely no crossover. Both Healy and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it's been a lot of FaceTiming and texting but she cannot wait to see him again. But as two international megastars, they understand the pressures of one another's jobs better than anyone, and are incredibly supportive of their respective careers," a source claimed to The Sun. Healy also reportedly split from FKA Twigs last year.

Fans of The 1975 went wild earlier this year when Swift made a surprise appearance during the first night of the band's At Their Very Best tour at London's 02 Arena in January. She performed a cover of "The City" and her hit track "Anti-Hero." After the show, Swift met Healy's mom, "Loose Women"'s Denise Welch, who excitedly posted a photo of the pair hugging on Instagram. So if the rumors are true, Swift has already ticked the meet-the-family box.

But is this romance the real deal, or, well, just rumors? It certainly seems they're more than friends, but only Swift and Healy themselves can put an end to the speculation.

Wondering Who Played Ursula's Human Alter Ego in "The Little Mermaid"? Meet Jess Alexander

Disney's "The Little Mermaid" is filled with plenty of familiar faces, including Halle Bailey, Melissa McCarthy, and Javier Bardem. But the film also features a handful of fresh faces, like Jessica Alexander, who plays Ursula's human alter ego, Vanessa.

Alexander wanted to pursue acting from a young age and landed her first major role on the Italian teen drama, "Penny on M.A.R.S.," which aired on Disney Channel in Italy from 2018 to 2020. Following her success on the show, Alexander went on to star in the BBC iPlayer series "Get Even," which helped her gain popularity onscreen and land roles in "Glasshouse," "A Banquet," and "Into the Deep" between 2021 and 2022.

In March 2021, Alexander got her big break stateside when she was cast to play Vanessa in the live-action adaptation of "The Little Mermaid" and has been on everyone's radar ever since. Touching on being a part of the film, the actor told Something About Rocks, "The film was way bigger than me. I just felt so in awe. I couldn't stop thinking how lucky I was to be there. The costumes were so beautiful. I was walking on to set like, 'Wow, this is intimidating.' I've never felt so small on set before, but in a good way. It made me feel like a tiny cog of this amazing machine."

Given Alexander's versatility onscreen in "The Little Mermaid," which hit theaters on May 26, we're bound to see more of her in upcoming projects. Read on to learn more about the star!

Kevin Hart's Daughter, Heaven, Graduates From High School: " I Am So Proud of My Little Girl"

Heaven Hart just reached a major life milestone. On Friday, May 25, Kevin Hart's oldest daughter, Heaven Hart, graduated from high school. The proud dad shared an Instagram post celebrating his daughter's accomplishments, as well as thanking his niece, Sanny, for setting such a good example for her by becoming the first person in their family to go to college.

Kevin shared a series of photos from what appears to be Heaven's graduation party to his grid. In the first photo, the dad and daughter pose together, while the second photo features the 18-year-old with her cousin Sanny, and the final pic is a snap of all four of the Hart siblings.

"It's not about me….It has always been about them!!!!!!! I am so proud of my little girl," the "Fatherhood" actor captioned his post. "I am just as proud of my niece sanny for being an amazing example for Heav….Sanny was the first in our family to go to college and graduate…Now My little girl is heading in that same direction….Iron Sharpens Iron….it always has and always will. We have to motivate each other and continue to make ourselves better….Dream big damn it!!!!!"

He went on to tell his daughter what an amazing big sister she is to Hendrix, Kenzo, and Kaori. "Heav you made me so proud yesterday ….Doo, Zo & Ori are all watching you," Kevin continued. "You are the best big sister ever!!!!!! We all love you so much!!!!!!"

Kevin has plenty of reasons to be proud of his eldest child. Not only did she graduate from high school, she was also the salutatorian of her class. Heaven's mom, Torrei Hart, shared a snippet of her daughter's speech on her Instagram, where Heaven revealed she's inherited her father's gift for comedic timing. "Wow, alright," she began. "It's way more nerve-wracking being up here in person than when I was sitting over there. I mean, come on, guys."

She then launched into her speech: "Hey guys, I'm Heaven. I'm pretty nervous. I've been nervous for a few weeks now, and because of my nerves, I asked both of my parents for advice on what I should say. My beautiful, amazing mother told me that I should speak from the heart, and then she also said I should say something crazy. Then I asked my dad, and you know what he said? He said I should say, 'We did it b*tch...!'" Heaven began to shout before cutting herself off mid-word. "But I'm not going to say that!"

Kevin shares Heaven and his 15-year-old son Maddox with his first wife, Torrei. He's also dad to 5-year-old Kenzo and 2-year-old Kaori with his wife Eniko Hart. Earlier this month, Kevin celebrated another one of Heaven's milestones when he posed with her before she headed off to prom.

"I have no words . . . just pure joy," Kevin wrote on Instagram. "My little girl looked unbelievable yesterday. Where does the time go."

Lily-Rose Depp and 070 Shake Share a Kiss at LAX After Confirming Their Romance

Lily-Rose Depp seems to have found a new flame. The star was spotted embracing and kissing musician 070 Shake at the LAX airport on May 25, according to photos obtained by Entertainment Tonight, after the two seemingly hard-launched their relationship earlier this month.

Depp confirmed her romance with 070 Shake on May 11 when she shared a PDA-filled photo of herself and the musician smooching on her Instagram Story, per E! News, captioning the post, "4 MONTHS WITH MY CRUSH." Depp had also reportedly shared a number of loved-up photos with 070 Shake prior.

The 23-year-old actor appeared to hint at her sexual fluidity in 2015 when she took part in a photo shoot for people who "identify as anything other than 100 percent straight," per ET. A year later, she told Nylon that she hadn't meant for the shoot to imply anything in particular about her sexuality. "A lot of people took it as me coming out, but that's not what I was trying to do," she said. "I was literally doing it just to say that you don't have to label your sexuality; so many kids these days are not labeling their sexuality and I think that's so cool. If you like something one day then you do, and if you like something else the other day, it's whatever. You don't have to label yourself, because it's not set in stone. It's so fluid and there's so much pressure on kids to label themselves and say, 'This is what I am, this is what I like.' I was just trying to say that it's unnecessary; you don't need to label yourself."

Depp has previously been linked to Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler, while 070 Shake was linked to fellow musician Kehlani. Reps for Depp and 070 Shake did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR's request for comment.

It's been a major couple of weeks for Depp, who stars in The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) and Sam Levinson's HBO series "The Idol" as a pop star who falls prey to a cult leader. The first two episodes premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on May 22. Though the show won't be widely released until June 4, it's already caused a fair amount of controversy due to reports of graphic sexual content and an alleged conflict that occurred on set. However, Depp has only had positive things to say about her experience so far. "It's always a little sad and disheartening to see mean, false things said about someone you care about," she told IndieWire on May 23 in response to Rolling Stone's March exposé, which detailed "The Idol"'s alleged toxic work environment. "It wasn't reflective at all of my experience," Depp added.

Why Taylor Swift and Ice Spice's "Karma" Remix Is Surrounded By Controversy Involving Matty Healy

Two of the biggest women in music have teamed up for a potential song of the summer contender. This time, it's Taylor Swift and meteoric up-and-coming rapper Ice Spice joining hands to deliver a remix of Swift's "Midnights" track, "Karma," which has steadily been gaining traction on the radio, rising to No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 after debuting on the chart in November 2022.

In an interview with Spotify about the remix, Swift revealed that the collab came about naturally because she and Ice Spice were both fans of one another. "She reached out through her team, just kind of saying, 'Hey, Ice has been a big fan of Taylor's since she was a little kid, would love to collaborate if that was ever something that came about.' And I had been listening to her nonstop. . . . So I immediately got her number and said, 'Hey, would you wanna do your version of 'Karma'? Do you relate to this?' So she jumped in headfirst."

Swift praised Ice Spice as an artist, adding, "Getting to know her has been so special because I am blown away by her. In my opinion, she's the one to watch. Watching her work ethic and how thoughtfully she approaches her career, she's like my new favorite artist, and I'm so honored that she's on the song."

One elephant in the room that will seemingly go unaddressed is that Swift's rumored new boyfriend, Matty Healy of The 1975, has been embroiled in controversy for comments he made about the "Boy's a Liar, Pt. 2" rapper.

What Happened With Ice Spice and Matty Healy?

During his appearance on "The Adam Friedland Show" in February, Healy mentioned he had messaged with Ice Spice on Instagram. Hosts Friedland and Nick Mullen responded by going on a tirade of racist insults about Ice Spice, calling her an "Inuit Spice Girl" and a "chubby Chinese lady" before mocking Chinese and Hawaiian accents, to nothing but laughter from Healy.

Fellow English alt-rock artist Yungblud seemingly called Healy, Friedland, and Mullen out for their behavior on Twitter on Feb. 11, writing, "Love listening to three privileged white dudes sit around and objectify a young Black female artist who's blowing up." But Healy didn't seem repentant, instead responding with an Instagram video rant making fun of the artist.

Come April, however, Healy had changed his tune, apologizing to Ice Spice during a performance in Auckland, New Zealand. "I never meant to hurt anybody," he said (via Twitter). "I'm sorry if I've offended you and, Ice Spice, I'm sorry. It's not because I'm annoyed that me joking got misconstrued, it's cause I don't want Ice Spice to think I'm a d*ck. I love you, Ice Spice. I'm so sorry. I don't want anything to be misconstrued as mean. I don't mind being a bit of a joker . . . but I don't want to be perceived as mean-hearted."

Taylor Swift and Ice Spice's "Karma" Remix Meaning

Swift's "Karma" is all about... well, karma - the idea that one's actions will decide their fate. On the track, Swift uses the euphemism, "I keep my side of the street clean," meaning she tries to make good choices in life so she can feel confident that karma is on her side, while those who stand against her cannot. "Karma's a relaxing thought, aren't you envious that for you it's not?" she sings in the chorus.

The song seems to take on new layers in light of Healy's controversial appearance on "The Adam Friedland Show" and Ice Spice's involvement, whether intentional or not.

Ice Spice has yet to address Healy's comments or his apology directly. Still, some fans think she may have subtly (and fittingly) gotten her lick back in her "Karma" remix verse, rapping at one point, "Got you wavin' pretty white flags, feenin' for that cash, thinkin' it'll save ya, now you switchin' up your behavior. It's okay, baby, you ain't gotta worry, karma never gets lazy, so I keep my head up, my bread up." It's worth noting, however, that it's unclear when Swift and Ice Spice actually recorded this collaboration, and whether or not Swift or the rapper were aware of Healy's appearance on "The Adam Friedland Show" at that time.

Ahead, check out Swift and Ice Spice's "Karma" remix and read the song's lyrics, then decide for yourself what they mean.

Taylor Swift and Ice Spice's "Karma" Remix Lyrics

INTRO (Ice Spice)
Karma is that girl, like

VERSE 1 (Swift)
You're talking sh*t for the hell of it
Addicted to betrayal, but you're relevant
You're terrified to look down
'Cause if you dare, you'll see the glare
Of everyone you burned just to get there
It's comin' back around

PRE-CHORUS (Swift)
And I keep my side of the street clean
You wouldn't know what I mean

CHORUS (Swift)
'Cause karma is my boyfriend
Karma is a god
Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend
Karma's a relaxing thought
Aren't you envious that for you it's not?
Sweet like honey, karma is a cat
Purring in my lap 'cause it loves me
Flexing like a goddamn acrobat
Me and karma vibe like that

VERSE 2 (Ice Spice)
Karma is your check's 'boutta bounce
Karma is the fire in your house
And she 'boutta pop up unannounced
And she never leavin' you alone
Watch her put ya opps on a throne

Got you wavin' pretty white flags, feenin' for that cash
Thinkin' it'll save ya, now you switchin' up your behavior
It's okay, baby, you ain't gotta worry, karma never gets lazy

So, I keep my head up, my bread up, I won't let up
Promise that you'll never endeavor with none lesser
I be draggin' that wagon, karma is a beauty winning that pageant, grrah

CHORUS (Swift)
'Cause karma is my boyfriend
Karma is a god
Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend
Karma's a relaxing thought
Aren't you envious that for you it's not?
Sweet like honey, karma is a cat
Purring in my lap 'cause it loves me
Flexing like a goddamn acrobat
Me and karma vibe like that

BRIDGE (Swift & Ice Spice)
Ask me what I learned from all those years
Ask me what I earned from all those tears
Ask me why so many fade, but I'm still here
(I'm still here, I'm still here)

'Cause karma is the thunder
Rattlin' your ground
Karma's on your scent like a bounty hunter
And karma's gonna track you down
Step by step, from town to town
Sweet like justice, karma is a queen
Karma takes all my friends to the summit
Karma is the guy on the screen
Coming straight home to me

CHORUS (Swift)
'Cause karma is my boyfriend
Karma is a god
Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend
Karma's a relaxing thought
Aren't you envious that for you it's not?
Sweet like honey, karma is a cat
Purring in my lap 'cause it loves me
Flexing like a goddamn acrobat
Me and karma vibe like that

OUTRO (Swift & Ice Spice)
Karma is my boyfriend
Karma is a god
Karma is my bestie
Karma's a relaxing thought
Karma's gonna hold you down

Surprise: Bella Thorne is engaged! The 25-year-old actor announced the news via Vogue on May 26, showing off candid selfies of her and her fiancé, entrepreneur Mark Emms, posing with her giant 10-plus-carat diamond ring on Instagram.

According to the publication, Thorne and Emms - known as the producer behind Netflix's "Bad Vegan" docuseries and co-owner of New York hotspot The Mulberry - met on a beach last year in Ibiza, crossing paths at Cara Delevingne's birthday party. Thorne told the outlet, "It was love at first sight as the sun rose." Emms then proposed to the "Midnight Sun" star at her California home the day before Mother's Day, where the two celebrated the happy occasion with family.

It's unclear when exactly Thorne and Emms started dating, but they made their relationship Instagram official on Valentine's Day, sharing a sweet photo of them re-creating the famous "Lady and the Tramp" spaghetti scene, only this time with a candy rope. "Find someone u want to share ur candy with 😍," Thorne captioned the post. "Ps.this sexy tall British man is mine so get yah own cuz I feel like kickin Ass today."

Prior to going public with their romance, the actor and producer were spotted kissing while vacationing in Mykonos, Greece, in photos published by the Daily Mail. Previously, Thorne was engaged to Italian singer Benjamin Mascolo in 2021 but called it quits a little over one year later, per People. In the past, Thorne has been linked to stars like Mod Sun, Charlie Puth, Tyler Posey, Cody Simpson, and Gregg Sulkin, to name a few.

Already planning ahead for her and Emms's nuptials, Thorne shared with Vogue that she hopes to have a countryside wedding at a manor in the UK and is eyeing vintage Schiaparelli or Dior for her wedding attire. "Every bride does not need one gown, but four!" she said.

TikTok's Anna Sitar on Growing and Evolving Under the Internet's Lens: "I Have Dialed Back"

In our Q&A series Last Call, we get down to the bottom of every last thing with some of our favorite celebs - from the last time they were starstruck to the last song they listened to. This week, TikTok superstar Anna Sitar takes our call.

Anna Sitar remembers vividly the first time someone recognized her in public. She was shopping in Target ("Which is so on brand for me," she laughs) and sporting pandemic pink hair. She had been creating content regularly at that point, all while encamped at her parents' house and completing grad school over Zoom. As TikTok surged in popularity, she found her niche in relatable content, chatting openly about her long-distance relationship.

"This girl was so sweet," Sitar recounts to POPSUGAR of that fan encounter. "She just came over and was just like, 'I love your videos.' I had this series called 'I don't want it' where I pretty much walk in front of a mirror and talk about, for example, 'If my husband or my best friend doesn't do XYZ, I don't want it.' She had seen those videos and kind of raved about it." The realization that her reach was now recognized-in-Target level was a "turning point": "Everyone was always so supportive and so nice, but I had never really met anybody in person yet."

Sitar, 24, was raised in Michigan and obtained her undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering before pursuing a masters in film and TV production. The love of video making was always there, but it wasn't until she "found a community of people" who were also exploring more creative pursuits outside of their technical careers that Sitar truly made the leap.

"I had never been so supported and uplifted as I was when I was at my lowest and I had my community to fall back on."

And when her relationship ended, Sitar knew she was in the right place: "I had never been so supported and uplifted as I was when I was at my lowest and I had my community to fall back on. It really like put me back on my feet, and helped me recognize my confidence." This same community also followed along as she found new love with radio and TikTok personality Josh "Bru" Brubaker. Brubaker and Sitar, she says, are on the same page as far as what they do and don't share with their followers (who Sitar affectionately calls her "friends").

"We've been together for almost two years now - it's kind of coming up on that time where you've really settled into being in a relationship," she says. "It's beautiful to get to have somebody that you can share all those experiences with. . . . But I definitely feel like I have dialed back because on social media, you do reach a point where when you open up your relationships to the criticism and the commentary of others, it does get a little bit difficult. You take it with a grain of salt because we know our love and our relationship and everything we do is really authentic and out of genuine care for each other."

No matter what, Sitar knows her brand: "I always look for the positive spin on things." She says, "Sharing your most authentic self and how you're really feeling and kind of the positions that you're in and who you are as an individual, it gives a chance for people to feel less alone."

Keep reading for more of Sitar's chat with POPSUGAR.

What was the last TV show you watched?

"Night Agent" on Netflix. I thought it was so good. I was eating it up.

Who was the last person you texted?

Probably Bru.

When was the last time that you were nervous?

Like 10 minutes ago, before this interview.

You're doing great. When was the last time that you were starstruck?

Oh, that's a good question. I love Liza Koshy and I got to see her at an event in LA here. I had met her once before but I feel like it never gets less exciting. When you see something you really look up to - her career and just how funny and lighthearted she is, and she's such a light on the internet, too. I hope that I have a quarter of that glow at some point. I had to try to not fangirl too hard.

What was the last song you listened to?

I'm writing a song for my mom for Mother's Day. So I've been glued to my computer and I learned Logic [software] in like an hour and a half. I was just trying to understand how and listening to my voice over and over again. That's the last thing I listened to and it's not my favorite. . . . When I lived at home during COVID, I got back into playing instruments and doing piano and singing. So I would sing to [my mom] - I don't really sing for anybody - but I told her I'd make her one. So I'm trying.

What is the last album you bought or streamed?

Noah Kahan - I talk about this all the time, but he's on my favorites right now, and I think he's playing at Lollapalooza. So I might finally get to see Noah in person. I've listened to his whole discography through and through, and it's so good. It makes me feel like I'm Ed Sheeran from the East Coast.

What is the last photo in your camera roll?

Honestly, a selfie. A photo of me that I think I sent to my sister this morning. I was trying new skin care, and I was kinda loving this new routine. And so, I sent her a very straight face fresh out of bed.

@annaxsitar

if only i could hug the first version and tell her how wonderful life can be when u let go of the reins and follow ur heart. anything is possible. even tho i often miss how different it used to be

What is the last thing you bought online?

Honestly, I think this little Octo Buddy [suction phone case]. . . . It's the most satisfying sound ripping it up from stuff. That's what I just got from Amazon. I think they came with a pack of 10, which I definitely don't need 10 but I couldn't buy one. So I'm fully set for every phone case I have for the rest of my life.

What is the last thing you did for fun?

I went surfing. I'm not good, but I love going surfing. . . . I grew up in Michigan, but my parents live in California now. They have a house that's kind of close to a beach. So my little brother had picked it up, and then my sister and I were like, 'Oh we're gonna go out there with him.' . . . All of us kids just ended up loving it and now whenever we're all together or a family vacation . . . we always do a family surfing day.

What was the last thing you did for self-care?

I did a hair mask yesterday . . . a little hydration moment for the new hairs. Kerastase Genesis. A little light-pink one. . . . My hair smells good from it for like seven days. I will even shower in between. I will still smell the hair mask in my hair. It's so good.

What was the last book that you read?

I'm reading "Malibu Rising" right now. I'm so excited because I've heard such good things. The last one I finished was "They Both Die at the End." I have this horrible, horrible, horrible track record of finishing books on flights. So, I am bawling on aircraft. . . . I don't know if it's the elevation or what's in the air, but does anybody else cry harder on flights? Because I feel like movies hit different in airplanes, books hit different. I get very retrospective. I'm texting people I love them while I'm on airplanes. That's how I can explain it.

What is the last gift that you received?

For my birthday, which was just about a month ago, I got a necklace. It's a little 'J' because - fun fact - I don't know if he would want it in the world, but Bru's first name is really Josh. It's not Bru. [laughs] Now it's kind of my fault, but, he got me a J chain. A little Taylor Swift moment. I'm also a big gift-giving person - I think my love language is gift giving.

"My sister gave me advice to just go back to your roots and stay doing what you love, and stop trying to make things that you think are gonna be entertaining to other people."

What is the last piece of advice you received that changed your life?

My sister always gives me really good advice. This is niche - it's a creator problem, which isn't even that big of a problem, but it's just: when you do content all day every day, there comes a point where your mind sort of shifts to it being your career of instead of just making what you love. You are trying to make what people want to see. My sister had told me a couple days ago, 'You have to remember, make what you like . . . If you make what you like, you're gonna attract the people who love that stuff too.' People are attracted to people that they relate to, or are interested in. And so my sister gave me advice to just go back to your roots and stay doing what you love and stop trying to make things that you think are gonna be entertaining to other people.
