Hilary Swank Shares an Instagram Photo of Her Very Own "Million Dollar Baby"

Hilary Swank is going to be a mom of twins - and it sounds like she's already preparing her babies to be warriors, or at least heroes. Swank shared a photo of her ultrasound on March 19, and the scan is labeled "Million Dollar Baby" - a reference to her 2004 film "Million Dollar Baby," which Swank stars in as an ambitious aspiring boxer. "Baby A flexing for the camera at their ultrasound. 💪🏽🤣 #TheRealMillionDollarBaby #Prizefighter," she added in her Instagram caption.

The 48-year-old actor initially announced the exciting news about her pregnancy during her appearance on "Good Morning America" on Oct. 5, 2022, saying, "This is something that I've been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I'm going to be a mom - and not just of one, but of two." Swank went on to share her excitement about the fact that she and her husband, Philip Schneider, are expecting two new family members. "I can't believe it," she said excitedly. "It's so nice to be able to talk about it and share it."

Swank further discussed her pregnancy in a separate interview during an appearance on "Live With Kelly and Ryan" that same day, saying she was "feeling great right now." Of finally being able to share the special news with everyone, the actor added, "It's so fun to actually finally be able to say it, you know, to get past the 12 weeks and be able to say, 'I'm pregnant!'"

At the time of her pregnancy announcement, Swank was busy filming her new series "Alaska Daily," and she said that the crew found out about the pregnancy around the same time as the rest of the world. "My clothes started not to fit so I had to, the other day . . . cut [my jeans] open. And then I put a jacket on that wasn't in continuity," the actor recalled of her on-set experience. "And [they] came and said, 'You know that's not in continuity.' And I said, 'Oh, I think it works.' And she's like, 'It doesn't.' I'm like, 'No, it does. I'm going to make it work.' She's like, 'You're an executive producer, you can do it, but this is weird.'"

The actor also told hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that twins run in her family. She explained, "It's double excitement. My grandmother was a twin, my husband's grandmother was a twin, so we have twins in our lineage."

Swank tied the knot with the social venture entrepreneur at the Saint Lucia Preserve in Carmel, CA, in August 2018. The couple exchanged "I dos" in front of their closest friends and family, including Mariska Hargitay, who served as Swank's maid of honor. Of her wedding, Swank previously told Vogue, "I was overwhelmed with such gratitude and thanks to be marrying the man of my dreams and to see all the people we love together in the middle of such a profound setting. It was truly a dream come true."
