Jimin is the next BTS member in line to drop a solo album, and although the rollout of information about his new project was once painfully slow for fans, the drip, drip, drip of news is becoming a torrent in recent days. Now, ARMY is more excited than ever to hear what BTS's lead singer and co-main dancer has up his sleeve.
Jimin has kept much of his solo plans close to the chest leading up to February 2023, apart from letting fans know he's "working" on it on multiple occasions and dropping "Vibe," a collaboration with Big Bang's Taeyang. Jimin gave insight into what it's been like recording an album on his own for the first time in a January 2022 interview with W Korea. "So many things are different," he said. "Since I am working alone, it makes me think a lot, which makes outcomes slower. When I work with the members, we talk about lots of things and clear them quickly. I think the problem is doing it for the first time. Since I am working on an album like this for the first time, 'Can it be released like this?' I am having lots of thoughts like that, which makes me modify more and do it over."
While still very few official details are known about Jimin's solo release (which has long been referred to as "PJM1," aka "Park Jimin 1," by fans), fans have put a lot together themselves. Jimin gave an idea of when you can expect the album to drop in a recent VLIVE, Korean media outlets are reporting that he has some exciting performances planned, fans think he may have hinted at what the album title could be on TikTok, and J-Hope may have even teased a Jimin collab with Justin Bieber.
Here's everything to know about Jimin's upcoming solo album so far.
