Cameron Boyce’s Heartbroken Parents Share New Statement On Actor’s Untimely Death

We’re still shocked over Cameron Boyce‘s tragic passing over the weekend — and we clearly aren’t the only ones.

After a HUGE outpouring of love and support for the actor and his family this week, the Disney star’s parents — Victor and Libby Boyce — have seen fit to release a second statement to fans, thanking them for the emotional support and prayers.

The statement, which they initially shared with People, reflected on the legacy their young son left behind when he passed, as you can see (below):

“There are no words to describe how moved we are by the tremendous outpouring of love and support from our family, friends, and the world. Thank you, everyone, for encircling us with your love and respect of Cameron and concern for our family. He was the very definition of human kindness, and a light that will forever shine as his spirit lives on in all who knew and loved him. He was the rock of our family and he always had a positive, heartwarming, insightful and caring outlook on everything and everyone. The pain we have endured and are continuing to endure is indescribable, but we are making every effort to move forward and ensure that Cameron’s legacy and all that he stood for is honored. He was and is, so cherished and we will hold him in our hearts forever. He is our shooting star.”

Wow.

This isn’t the first statement that Boyce’s parents have shared with the world, of course, but the fact that a second one like this has come out really goes to show just how positively the young actor affected his fan base during his short life. As we’ve been documenting, SO MANY celebs have come forward to share memories and stories of their time working with Cameron, too.

It’s really something to see, y’all — you’d expect an outpouring like this for a seasoned Hollywood actor who worked for decades in the business, but to see such a major show of love like this for a younger star, well, Cameron Boyce truly must have been a light and a leader in the industry. We’re all better for having watched him work his craft and do what he loved on air for as long as he was able.
