We’ve seen some really shocking splits over the past couple years. But if we’re being honest Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk was hardly the most surprising.
Whenever we heard anything about the very private pair, it was never good news.
Bradley and Irina never commented on the news, but it seems there was truth in those whispers of discontent surrounding the couple.

The question we have now is, how much of what we’d heard was true?
A source spilled to People on Monday:
“Since Bradley and Irina have always been very private about their relationship few knew there was really for sure something going on.”
So what was going on?
The problems certainly seemed to start before that, before they even had their daughter really.
But most recently it was work that got in the way.
It’s a tale as old as overtime — one significant other is more focused on work than on family, and the whole thing sort of falls apart. Of course, movies usually take a huge investment of time, with extended international travel and 16 hour days often being the norm.
But for A Star Is Born, it was different.
The insider says:
“Bradley was emotionally absent during the long time filming A Star Is Born.”
After it was all over, Bradley reportedly renewed his efforts to salvage his strained relationship with Irina and their daughter, Lea De Seine. A source way back in April told People BCoop was spending “every day” with them:
“After awards season ended, Cooper slowed down to focus on his family.”
But that was after the movie, the promo, and the endless golden tour that is award season.
And the new source says it was just too late:
“They tried to save the relationship but it had changed.”
Hmm.
Maybe it was just that BCoop was a huge perfectionist about the whole thing.

It was his first movie out of the gate, he spent countless hours making it everything it could be — and years planning.
We know from Bradley’s BAFTA speech for his best original music win, even he thought he wasn’t easy to live with during that time:
“Most of all I have to thank Irina, for putting up with me for all the music I was trying to make in our basement for a year.”
But…
OK, let’s talk about the elephant in the room: Lady GaGa.

There were so many rumors swirling about Bradley and his leading lady going around, most of which we just considered de rigueur for selling a romance movie.
Except… then GaGa broke up with her fiancé Christian Carino.
And now Bradley’s relationship has gone the same way.
We mean, coincidence? Really??
Sure, the singer has been firmly denying the talk of an affair ever since it started, but maybe she’s just keeping a… poker face?
