Has the royal dream suddenly become a nightmare?!
Is there really a MASSIVE rift separating Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton???
Say it ain’t so, y’all!!!
Related: Kate Speaks Out About Meghan’s Baby Bump!
OK, things aren’t that bad across the pond, but here’s a fascinating and unsettling little tidbit from Royal-world tonight: Kate and Meghan aren’t exactly the best of friends!
A source speaking to People on Thursday opened up a little bit about some of the tensions that swirled last Christmas (and may swirl again this year!) when the couples got together for the holiday season (below):
“They really loved Christmas and all had a wonderful time. I think the two women got on — they are definitely not best friends, but it was a really special time for them all to spend together.”
Hmmm… that’s not exactly the most ringing endorsement of a great friendship?!?!
Of course, this is at least in some small part tied to their husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, who — while as close as you’d expect from two thirty-something brothers — need to hash out their OWN personal space away from each other, too!
Related: Meghan & Harry Won’t Be At Priyanka & Nick’s Wedding!
Another insider noted as much when speaking about Meghan and Harry’s upcoming move out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage (below):
“Harry will want to establish himself and come out of the shadows and not be in his brother’s shadows. They want to do their own thing and create their own style. And to do that you need to be away sometimes.”
Amen to that! But maybe it’s also, ya know, enflaming mild tensions between Kate and Meghan, by proxy?!
Just sayin’! But who knows! All we can definitively say is this: the holiday season can be a TOUGH time for family, whether you’re a royal or a commoner!!

Southwest Airlines better know their ABCs and 123s!
According to ABC7, one of the carrier’s gate agents allegedly mocked a 5-year-old girl named Abcde, reportedly pronounced “ab-city.”
The girl and mom Traci Redford reportedly boarded a flight early from Santa Ana, California to El Paso, Texas because of the little one’s epilepsy.

Redford told the publication:
“The gate agent started mocking my child’s name, laughing, pointing at me and my daughter and talking to other employees… So I turned around and just said, ‘Hey, I can hear you, so if I can hear you, my daughter can, too. I’d appreciate it if you’d just stop.'”
Apparently, Abcde didn’t understand why the employees were laughing.
“She asked me, ‘Mom, why is she laughing at my name?’… And I said, ‘You know, honey, not everybody is nice, and not everyone is going to be nice, and it’s unfortunate.'”
Allegedly, the gate agent in question had the gall to post about the alleged incident on Facebook.
“While I was sitting there, she took a picture of my boarding pass and chose to post it on social media, mocking my daughter… It was actually brought to my attention by somebody who had seen it on Facebook and reported it to Southwest Airlines.”
The carrier has since apologized to Traci and her family for the embarrassing ordeal. Their statement read:
“We extend our sincere apology to the family… We take great pride in extending our Southwest Hospitality to all of our Customers, which includes living by the Golden Rule and treating every individual with respect, in person or online… The post is not indicative of the care, respect, and civility we expect from all of our Employees… We have followed up with the Employee involved, and while we do not disclose personnel actions publicly, we are using this as an opportunity to reinforce our policies and emphasize our expectations for all Employees.”

Travis Scott and Tommy Lee are not exactly on the best of terms right now!!!
The Motley Crue singer and the Astroworld rapper are seriously at odds after Lee discovered Scott’s tour set design yesterday and flipped out on social media, accusing the Houston rapper of straight up copying the legendary rock n’ roll drummer!
Related: Stormi Webster Giggles While Watching Travis Perform!
Things started on Wednesday night, when Lee took to Twitter to call out what he felt was a LITTLE too much copying by Scott’s tour design team, noting (below) some similarities to a ferris wheel-style set design Lee had previously produced:
Just found out this fucking idiot @trvisxx or someone on his team ripped off the 360 AND The Crüecifly! WTF!! Get an original idea bro…(swipe to see who did this shit first) BRB there’s… https://t.co/wWv9Rwgm6r
— T❍mmy L33 (@MrTommyLand) November 29, 2018
ANNNNND not one rip off but TWO. DOPE. I get copying is a form of flattery, but this is just straight ripping off my shit. What do you guys think??? #crüecifly https://t.co/Ile2nz7UYC
— T❍mmy L33 (@MrTommyLand) November 29, 2018
Hey @trvisXX lawyer up!
— T❍mmy L33 (@MrTommyLand) November 29, 2018
And the plot thickens! After I and our production crew created the 360 and Crüecifly, We hired a company called SGPS in Las Vegas to create it. WELLLLL GUESS WHO’S DOING TRAVIS’S SET DESIGN???? Fucking SGPS! So all u mothafuckas tellin me I’m not right can fuck off
— T❍mmy L33 (@MrTommyLand) November 29, 2018
Whoa!!!
FWIW, this is Tommy’s little contraption that he’s up in arms about (below), which he claims Travis essentially stole for the rapper’s own 360-degree on-stage loop:
Inneresting…
Travis’ legal team has already responded to Tommy, per TMZ, saying (below):
“Tommy didn’t invent the concept of a roller coaster on stage and there’s no legal basis for his accusatory outburst. The actual creator and owner of the system has granted Travis all rights to use that equipment to complement his original stage design.”
Sooooo basically Tommy thinks he invented something that he didn’t invent — is what it sounds like. And to claim credit for an invention he apparently didn’t invent, he went to Twitter to whine (loudly) about it.
One footnote in this case that is particularly hilarious: TMZ reports that back in 2014 Tommy was taken to court by a set engineer over this exact 360-degree drum contraption, arguing that Tommy had stolen in at the time!
Tommy won that case, but LOLz — people in glass houses!!

Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus recently teamed up for the new song "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart," and days after teasing the project on Instagram, the duo dropped the video on Thursday. The trippy visual follows Cyrus (literally) as she leads the police on a high-speed car chase that goes from the freeway to the strip club to a gun range, where young girls are doing target practice. There are more moments that seem to send a message and add cultural commentary, including a Black Friday-style shopping showdown and a group of kneeling football players. Watch the video above now to decipher for yourself.
It's been five years since Game of Thrones aired its series-changing red wedding scene, featured in the season three episode "The Rains of Castamere," and it's still utterly shocking. The scene sees King Robb Stark; his wife, Talisa; his mom, Catelyn; and his devoted bannermen getting massacred in an impromptu attack . . . at a wedding reception, no less. British GQ recently asked Richard Madden, who portrayed Robb, to rewatch the scene - to which he said, "I think it's really rude you've made me watch this."
The actor admitted he was nervous to rewatch the scene because he ended up in tears the first time he watched it with his costar Michelle Fairley, who portrayed Catelyn. Though he didn't cry this time, Madden did share plenty of behind-the-scenes tidbits and anecdotes. All in all, his walk down memory lane only further proves just how wild the plot twist is.

In case you haven't heard, Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built is causing an uproar in the film world. The disturbing, violent new horror movie follows a serial killer (Matt Dillon) who has no qualms about graphically mutilating women and children. Unsurprisingly, it has been causing controversy ever since it debuted at Cannes earlier this year, and a recent screening landed it in even more hot water. On Nov. 28, the film's unrated "director's cut" played in a series of one-day-only screenings in the US that earned IFC Films - the movie's distributor - sanctions from the Motion Picture Association of America for not getting the correct waiver ahead of time.
"The MPAA has communicated to the distributor, IFC Films, that the screening of an unrated version of the film in such close proximity to the release of the rated version - without obtaining a waiver - is in violation of the rating system's rules," the MPAA said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "The effectiveness of the MPAA ratings depends on our ability to maintain the trust and confidence of American parents . . . Failure to comply with the rules can create confusion among parents and undermine the rating system - and may result in the imposition of sanctions against the film's submitter."
If you're bummed you missed out on the first, technically unsanctioned screening, never fear; a second release is planned for Dec. 14 in select theaters, which is when it will also be available for rent on digital platforms. Of course, that version will be R-rated as opposed to Trier's unrated director's cut. In the meantime, you can keep scrolling to see reactions from audience members who've seen the twisted film starring Dillon, Uma Thurman, and Riley Keough so far, which range from ecstatic reviews to pure disgust.
Game of Thrones is groundbreaking in many ways, but one of its most interesting aspects is the way the show isn't afraid to kill off some of its most important and beloved characters time and time again. From Sean Bean's Ned to Rose Leslie's Ygritte (and yes, even Viserion), no one is safe from death, which makes watching such a thrill. Fortunately, HBO has arranged a way for us to see many of the dearly departed cast members together again with the current stars: a reunion special.
Entertainment Weekly reports that a special was shot in Belfast earlier in 2018 with a large number of the final season's cast members, as well as Bean, who played the late Ned Stark. Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo, has also been rumored to appear, since he was spotted in Belfast earlier this year. Conan O'Brien served as host for the event, which will not actually air on HBO. Instead, the reunion can be watched exclusively on a complete home video box set of the entire Game of Thrones series, including seasons one through eight. Obviously, that means the reunion special won't be seen until after the final season airs at some point late in 2019.
An exact date has yet to be confirmed, but since the final season hits screens in April, we assume the box set will be available sometime in the Fall. Fortunately, you have tons of wild season eight theories to consider in the meantime.
We may have quite a ways to go until the third season of Westworld, but the holiday season waits for no man. If you've got a western-loving, robot-obsessing, maze-venturing friend or loved one in your life, chances are they'd be delighted to receive a gift inspired by HBO's new hit series. Luckily for you, there are all kinds of fun things to buy! We've got nods to the show's "violent delights" and allusions to that brilliant maze, so stock up now before even more theme parks come into play. Shop soon; you wouldn't want to freeze all motor functions on the night before Christmas.
Just in case reading Margaret Atwood's 1985 dystopian novel The Handmaid's Tale - or watching its equally compelling TV adaptation - hadn't devastated you enough, the author is returning with a sequel to Offred's story called The Testaments.
She shared the news via Twitter on Wednesday, giving a few hints about the plot. Apparently the novel will take place "15 years after Offred's final scene and is narrated by three female characters" and is a direct response to the daily horrors people have been living through the last few years.
"Everything you've ever asked me about Gilead and its inner workings is the inspiration for this book. Well, almost everything!" her video message reads. "The other inspiration is the world we've been living in."
Yes indeed to those who asked: I'm writing a sequel to The #HandmaidsTale. #TheTestaments is set 15 years after Offred's final scene and is narrated by three female characters. It will be published in Sept 2019. More details: https://t.co/e1umh5FwpX pic.twitter.com/pePp0zpuif
- Margaret E. Atwood (@MargaretAtwood) November 28, 2018
Her critically acclaimed original, The Handmaid's Tale, drops us into a dystopian future where the American government has been overthrown and replaced by a totalitarian country called Gilead. Due to a severe drop in the number of births around the country, Gilead enslaves fertile women by forcing them into sexual servitude in order to bear children for the wealthy - aka the "handmaids." The story is narrated by one handmaid in particular, Offred, who vows to survive her deeply unsettling surroundings and escape to Canada.
Hulu's gritty adaptation of the series has raked in plenty of awards, including multiple best actress wins for lead Elisabeth Moss. Atwood's The Testaments hits bookshelves in September 2019, so it will be interesting to see if the new story is incorporated into the TV show at all, since it's already been renewed for a third season and a fourth doesn't seem out of the question.
In the midst of Hollywood's current reboot mania, there were bound to be some failed experiments. While revived series like Will & Grace and Fuller House are still going strong, ABC's Roseanne and Paramount's Heathers encountered some notable stumbles. Fortunately it seems CBS's modern take on Murphy Brown will avoid being the next nostalgic revival to get the ax.
The Hollywood Reporter shared on Wednesday that CBS is pulling the plug on both Murphy Brown and their Damon Wayans Jr. comedy, Happy Together. The news about the Candice Bergen-led series didn't come as a surprise, necessarily, since the multicamera newsroom comedy was "always intended to be a closed-ended order of 13 episodes," according to THR. Despite those reports, creator Diane English clarified that Murphy Brown is still very much looking forward to a second season, and that they ordered 13 episodes on purpose.
Murphy Brown fans. We are NOT CANCELED!!!!! Several entertainment sites read a mid season schedule put out by CBS that did not have our show on it and the assumption was made that we were not renewed. Our order, at our request was 13 eps. We look forward to a second season.
- Diane English (@realmurphybrown) November 28, 2018
No matter what the fate of Murphy Brown ends up being, the series and its titular character will no doubt continue to hold an important spot in pop culture, especially given the current political climate. English returned as a writer on the reboot, which saw Murphy returning to the airwaves amid a chaotic, divided nation, and frequent, violent attacks on the press. If you need another dose of Murphy's wit, you can always stream the show on CBS All Access!
If you're looking to lose yourself in a TV show that generates some serious heat, then you've come to the right place. Sexy might just be the watchword for the 2018 television season, because everyone from Netflix to PBS is serving up smoldering goodness. From swoon-worthy romantic moments to passionate sex scenes you won't be able to believe made it to the small screen, these are the sexiest shows of 2018.
SpongeBob SquarePants fans of all ages came together on Tuesday to celebrate the life and legacy of the show's creator, Stephen Hillenburg. The animator died at age 57 on Monday following a battle with ALS, which he had been diagnosed with in March 2017. Nickelodeon, where SpongeBob has aired since May 1999, released a statement calling Hillenburg a "beloved friend and long-time partner" to everyone at the network.
"Steve imbued SpongeBob SquarePants with a unique sense of humor and innocence that has brought joy to generations of kids and families everywhere," the network said. "His utterly original characters and the world of Bikini Bottom will long stand as a reminder of the value of optimism, friendship, and the limitless power of imagination."
It didn't take long for tributes for Hillenburg to pour in from coworkers, guest stars, and fans alike. People from all corners of the internet shared their favorite episodes, unforgettable moments, or - of course - their favorite memes featuring Hillenburg's lovable sea sponge. Read on to see some of the sweetest tributes in honor of the cartoonist's memory, and always remember, "We're all Goofy Goobers."
We all know that Mary Poppins Returns is going to be just as supercalifragilisticexpialidocious as the original - and not just because Emily Blunt has already wowed everyone as the magical nanny we all know and love. The sequel to the 1964 musical film also serves as a reunion for Blunt and Meryl Streep, two women who are known to bring more than a spoonful of sugar to the screen whenever they work together.
Mary Poppins Returns marks the third time Blunt and Streep have shared the silver screen. Their first film together was the 2006 megahit The Devil Wears Prada, in which Blunt played the assistant at her wits' end to Streep's iconically monstrous boss. The second was in 2014's Into the Woods, which saw Streep as the witch who cursed the womb of Blunt's peasant woman. Now, the two are bringing to life Mary Poppins and her "gravity-challenged" cousin Topsy, who have a less than idyllic relationship. If you're sensing a theme with their roles, you aren't the only one! In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Blunt couldn't help but laugh while looking back on her relationship with Streep.
"It is a bit hilarious that we always play people who are contentious with one another," she said. "From Prada to the Witch and the Baker's Wife and now to cousins who drive each other insane. I did finally ask her, 'When are we gonna play lovers or something?!' She said, 'Dream on.'"
Personally, we would totally be down to see how the two tackle a romantic line (would they go classic rom-com or something dramatic?), but we'll take their adorable real-life friendship instead. It's amazing to think about how far the two have come since their Prada days, when Blunt was a relative newcomer and Streep the well-known megastar. Streep swears Blunt is the same person she was all those years ago, and that's totally a good thing because "she's divine!" Streep revealed that Mary Poppins Returns was written with Blunt in mind, saying the songs were written for her and praising the younger actress's work.
"It's so specific that I don't know who else could have done it the way [Blunt] does it," Streep added. "She's so smart, her wit informs everything she does. Even her tenderness is inflected with her smarts and her sense of humor and her, oh God, she just has a little curl of irony about her. She's just crackerjack smart and beautiful and she has the thing that you can't teach in the drama school, and that's charm. She has it. She's just charm."
I mean, swoon. Which is basically how Blunt reacted to the praise as well. "[Streep] has, from the moment I met her, really been such a pinnacle for me to look up to. And she is a confidante now. She's a friend," Blunt said. "I think that it's been terribly exciting getting to know her. She is somebody who is an inspiration I think to every actor. She's never discovered her whole bag of tricks, and that's all I want to do, is never to discover that."
Honestly, if I had a friend who talked about me the way these two do about each other, I would also jump at every chance to work with them! We totally stan this powerful, supportive friendship and will do so all the way to the theaters when Mary Poppins Returns comes out on Dec. 19.
If you've ever made a Gollum "My Precious" joke (which we all have so don't even try to deny it), Andy Serkis would like to remind you who did it first. During a visit to The Late Late Show with James Corden, the English actor gave the host and fellow guest Michael Peña a tutorial on how he's portrayed his past characters. A master of motion capture, Serkis taught the two a few techniques that he used while playing his characters, including the lip trick he used for Baloo in his new film Mowgli. Of course Corden couldn't let him go without asking him to pull out what is possibly his most famous performance ever. Watch Serkis show us how it's all done above!
Just like Edward and Bella's love, our obsession with Twilight will last forever. Even though the film came out 10 years ago, we still get excited when the cast reunites or makes mention of their memorable roles. From a DVD set of the movie franchise to a replica of Bella's engagement ring, we have everything you need to fulfill your obsession.
With 2018 winding down, it's time to start looking ahead to the books that will be at the top of your "to read" pile in 2019. The new year is already shaping up to be a major one for book fans. Whether you live for romance, crave bone-chilling thrillers, or just want a new fantasy series to dive into, the upcoming year has something for everyone. It's also full of new releases from authors that you already love, including Angie Thomas, Helen Hoang, and Ruth Ware. It's been a wild year of romance for This Is Us fans. We saw Kate and Toby get married, we watched Kevin find love with Beth's cousin Zoe, and we even saw Rebecca and Miguel's marriage in a new light. While we'll always envy the relationships that Rebecca and Jack and Randall and Beth have, 2018 brought us some new contenders for the best This Is Us couple, and it's time to to determine who comes out on top. As the year comes to an end and our favorite tear-jerking series reaches its Fall finale, we want to know who your number one couple is.

Warning: Spoilers for Creed II ahead, so get yourself to a theater before you read on.
Long before we knew him as Pittsburgh Steelers-loving Jack Pearson, Milo Ventimiglia actually had another iconic Pennsylvania role under his belt. He portrayed Sylvester Stallone's onscreen son Robert in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa, and after a decade, fans finally have a chance to see the 41-year-old take up the part again in Creed II.
Audiences last saw Robert Jr. (a role originally brought to life by Stallone's late son Sage) as he supported Rocky in a match against Mason "The Line" Dixon. The father and son maintained a tumultuous relationship throughout the course of the last few movies, and when the first Creed film rolled around, it appeared their bond had deteriorated once more. But come Creed II, Rocky spends a significant chunk of time pondering his life and the importance of family, all to finally visit his son and grandson at the end of the movie.
Before Creed II even hit theaters, Stallone hinted at a possible Ventimiglia return. The two had crossed paths again in 2017 when Ventimiglia asked Stallone to guest star on This Is Us, so his appearance in the film came as a delight to fans of the boxing series and fans of the NBC drama alike. While Stallone recently revealed he's likely done playing Rocky, we wouldn't complain if Robert Jr. carried on the Balboa legacy in any future movies.
Ah, Christmas - the time for baking, decorating, and listening to all the best holiday songs our favorite artists have to offer. So get ready to throw a bumpin' holiday party where everybody can't help but to bust a move with this hip-hop holiday playlist.

Now that the incredible batch of Fall movies are handing over the reins to Hollywood's Winter slate, it's time get even more excited for what's to come. Let's just cut to the chase here, people: Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra might be the hottest new celebrity couple of 2018. The two may have sparked dating rumors after attending the Met Gala together back in 2017, but it wasn't until May of this year that their budding romance was confirmed. After just a few months of fashionable date nights and discreet PDA, Nick popped the big question while they were in London celebrating Priyanka's 36th birthday, thus changing their title to the hottest soon-to-be celebrity newlyweds of 2018. To honor the photogenic match made in heaven and their upcoming wedding, we rounded up all the times the lovebirds looked devastatingly attractive together - so far, that is.
Megan Fox was not about to plead the fifth on Thursday night.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the actress, 32, opened up about her past, which included confirming a former flame and confessing to a spiteful action against her husband.
While playing the Bravo host’s notorious “Plead the Fifth” game, Fox finally admitted to having a “romantic relationship” with Shia LaBeouf while the two were co-starring in Transformers together in 2007 and during its sequel in 2009.
Although Fox says their relationship didn’t go much further after Transformers (she was fired from the franchise in 2009 for making negative comments about director Michael Bay).
“I mean I would confirm that it was romantic,” she said. “I love him, I have never been really quiet about that, I love him.”
This revelation was the first time that Fox has publicly addressed having a romantic relationship with LaBeouf.
Things were not so secretive for the actor, however, who previously hinted that his relationship with Fox went from professional to physical while filming the action franchise.
“Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them,” LaBeouf, 32, told Details magazine in 2011. “I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing.”
He added: “I think you can see the chemistry onscreen.”
Later on, in Thursday’s episode, Fox revealed the craziest — and most permanent — thing she’s ever done during a fight with her husband Brian Austin Green.
“I think I was being a little… that was hyperbole a little bit,” she admitted, when asked about her previous statement that she has destroyed the house during fights. “I did one time get really angry at him and wrote in Sharpie a bunch of Nietzsche poems on his wall.”

In addition to his three children, Green also shares a teenage son, Kassius, from a previous relationship with Vanessa Marcil.
During a September 2017 episode of the …with Brian Austin Green podcast, the Beverly Hills, 90210 actor admitted that “to be in a relationship takes work and it’s not easy.”
“Marriage is hard,” he said. “It’s work, I think for anyone. I think when you get to the point like we have, where you have kids and you’ve been married for a while and we’ve been together for a long time, it’s – you just take it day by day.”
Green had previously shared similar sentiments with reporters at the Women’s Choice Awards, saying of marriage, “I don’t know what the secret is. Just stick it out. Like fighting and making up, believing in each other.”
Ariana Grande is opening up about the 2017 suicide bombing at her Manchester concert in her new YouTube docuseries Dangerous Woman Diaries.
On the fourth episode of the series, which aired Thursday, Grande, 25, shared a heartfelt letter she wrote to fans about the attack, which left 22 people dead and 500 others injured.
“I’m writing to you this February 22, 2018,” Grande began.
“It’s been eight months since the attack at our show at the Manchester Arena. It’s impossible to know where to start or to know what to say about this part. May 22, 2017, will leave me speechless and filled with questions for the rest of my life.
“Music is an escape. Music is the safest thing I’ve ever known. Music — pop music, stan culture — is something that brings people together, introduces them to some of their best friends, and makes them feel like they can be themselves. It is comfort. It is fun. It is expression. It is happiness. It is the last thing that would ever harm someone. It is safe,” the “God Is a Woman” singer continued.
“When something so opposite and so poisonous takes place in your world that is supposed to be everything but that… it is shocking and heartbreaking in a way that seems impossible to fully recover from.”
Grande went on to explain that the tragedy taught her resilience and to not take life for granted.
“The spirit of the people of Manchester, the families affected by this horrendous tragedy, and my fans around the world have permanently impacted all of us for the rest of our lives. Their love, strength, and unity showed me, my team, my dancers, band, and entire crew not to be defeated. To continue during the scariest and saddest of times. To not let hate win. But instead, love as loudly as possible, and to appreciate every moment.”
“The people of Manchester were able to change an event that portrayed the worst of humanity into one that portrayed the most beautiful of humanity. ‘Like a handprint on my heart’… I think of Manchester constantly and will carry this with me every day for the rest of my life,” Grande added.
Following the attack, the singer put her tour on hold as she suffered from trauma and questioned whether she could ever sing again.
Almost two weeks after the incident, Grande took the stage again in Manchester for a benefit concert she co-organized.
Wearing a sweatshirt that read “One Love Manchester,” the singer opened her performance with her hit song “Be Alright,” followed by “Break Free.”
On the stage, Grande was joined by Victoria Monet, the Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus and her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died of an accidental overdose on Sept. 7.
Grande closed out the show with an emotional performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

All proceeds from the concert, which took place at the Emirates Old Trafford stadium in the city, went to the Red Cross’s Manchester Emergency Fund to help victims and families impacted by the attack.
Grande’s docuseries did not include any footage from the attack, but took viewers behind the scenes of the benefit concert. The docuseries also follows the singer on her 2017 Dangerous Woman World Tour and the making of her latest album Sweetener.
Two San Diego teenagers and their friend were brutally slain execution-style Sunday in Mexico.
The victims, Christopher Alexis Gomez, 17, a football player at O’ Farrell Charter High School and his friend of many years Juan Suarez-Ojeda, 18, a graduate of Ingenuity Charter School, had gone on a road trip to Ensenada last Friday for a barbecue and never returned, Gomez’s cousin Katheryn Garcia told the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Also with them was 17-year-old Tijuana high schooler, Angel Said Robles.
At around 5 a.m. on Nov. 25, the three boys were shot at an apartment complex in Tijuana — just miles from the U.S. border but an hour from where they were meant to be attending the barbecue.
When police discovered their dead bodies, Gomez, Suarez-Ojeda and Robles were wearing only their underwear, lying in front of the apartment door, according to local Mexican outlets, Fox 5 San Diego reported.
Seeing how their bodies fell, police believe the teenagers were forced to kneel before each was shot in the head. At this time, it is unclear as to what led up to the killings and the investigation is still ongoing.
Garcia also told the Union-Tribune, that Gomez was the “sweetest, most selfless person.”
“I know how this story sounds, like something that people hear on the news ‘you go to Tijuana and this happens,” Garcia continued. “This shouldn’t have happened to him.”
She also explained the teen had a promising life ahead of him as he recently got his first job washing cars near the San Diego International Airport.
He also had plans to join the Marines, Garcia told the Union-Tribune.
“We’re all in disbelief that this happened,” Garcia said.
According to the Union-Tribune, the murders took place in Lomas Verdes, an area plagued with crime — specifically high rates of homicide, drug dealing and domestic violence.
The Union-Tribune reported that neither Gomez nor Suarez-Ojeda had a criminal record, according to Mexican authorities, but Robles had car theft on his record.
However, Robles’ family has since refuted that claim. According to the outlet, the family said the teen worked as a barista at a coffee shop and had plans to go to college to be an industrial engineer.
Jorge Alvarez, head of the Baja California Attorney General’s Office in Tijuana, told the newspaper that the boys were familiar with the area where they were killed.
“They did not live there, but they came to visit family members, one of them apparently did so frequently,” Alvarez said.
Robles’ uncle said his nephew lived in the neighborhood and so did Saurez-Ojeda’s grandmother.
However, according to Garcia, her cousin Gomez had never been to Tijuana or Ensenada.

On Saturday, Robles allegedly called his mother to let her know they were safe but told her they had lost their phones, Garcia told the Union-Tribune.
After not hearing from them again, the family grew worried and contacted Baja California authorities. That’s when they received a call on Sunday, informing them that the bodies of three boys were found at an apartment in Lomas Verdes.
Gomez’s uncle then identified the bodies at a morgue in Tijuana.

Prior to his death, Saurez-Ojeda originally dropped out of school but returned to graduate. John Van Houton, a former teacher and coach at O’Farrell, which shares a campus with Ingenuity, says Saurez-Ojeda also played soccer.
Faculty members at O’Farrell School, which shares a campus with Ingenuity, has set up a GoFundMe site for the families of Gomez and Suarez-Ojeda in hopes of helping to cover their funeral costs.
According to the GoFundMe, Suarez-Ojeda has four other siblings at O’Farrell and Gomez has a younger sibling in the elementary school. Gomez also has an older sister named Celeste.
Garcia also set up a GoFundMe, specifically for her cousin. “The unexpected death has left his family with expenses they never thought they would have to worry about and all funds raised will be benefiting his family to deal with this tragic event,” the page reads.
A Maryland elementary school substitute teacher has been temporarily suspended from the district after she allegedly taped a student to his chair.
Lake Shore Elementary School principal Julie Little-McVearry explained in a letter issued on Thursday that the alleged incident involving a second-grade student happened the prior day during class.
“During regular classroom instruction, the teacher, a long-term substitute, remarked to a student that if he did not return to his seat, she would tape him to his chair,” Little-McVearry wrote in the letter addressed to parents and guardians. “The student found the remark funny, and the teacher proceeded to do as she said she would.”
Little-McVearry explained that she was informed about the alleged incident involving the unnamed teacher after a complaint from a parent.
“Police have also been notified,” Little-McVearry continued. “The teacher is not in our school today and will not be placed in any school until this matter is resolved. Our school system will make further appropriate decisions at that time.”
“I want you to know very clearly that the conduct that I have described above is never acceptable in a school setting,” she added. “I was shocked and appalled upon hearing about this incident. Our school is a place where every child is embraced, loved, and nurtured.”

Little-McVearry said she is currently searching for another long-term substitute teacher and an investigation is underway. At this time, it is not clear whether charges will be pressed against the substitute.
Representatives at the Anne Arundel County Police Department or the school did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
A former Ohio State University nurse will spend two years behind bars after she lied about having terminal cancer and schemed her co-workers into giving her money, gifts, and covering her shifts.
Tawni Fuller, who claimed to have lung cancer, received her 24-month sentence on Monday, after she pled guilty last month to telecommunications fraud, theft, and forgery, according to ABC 6.
In addition to two years in prison, Fuller must pay $45,469.68 in restitution to Ohio State Medical Center and $2,304.66 in restitution to the numerous victims, 10TV reported. She is also ordered to stay off of the university’s premises and cannot contact any of the victims.
Fuller, 34, began lying to her co-workers about her medical condition in 2016. Using the made-up illness, she was given cash, and gift cards from her friends and work acquaintances. Some offered to cover her shifts as she “fought” the illness.
She also scammed her employer out of thousands of dollars in sick pay.
The former nurse anesthetist even went so far as to dress up as though she was suffering from cancer. In one shot obtained by ABC, Fuller wore a white beanie on her head, making it seem like she was ill from treatments. The outlet also explained that Fuller would wear band-aids on her neck to make it look like she had a port.
After Fuller reportedly sent text messages towards the end of 2016 detailing her “miraculous” recovery that “boggled” doctors, the truth about her illness began to surface, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
At Monday’s sentencing, more than 20 victims showed up to testify against the woman they believed desperately needed their help. One friend, Carrie Malfatto, explained that she drove Fuller to a massage and pedicure, where she walked slowly with a cane and wore a headscarf, the Dispatch reported.
“I spent hours crying about Tawni’s case and how I couldn’t make it better,” she said, according to the outlet. “This person’s moral compass is broken.”

Another friend, Tina Dalzell, said that Fuller had exploited Dalzell’s husband’s sudden death in 2016, telling Dalzell she had seen her husband in the afterlife during a near-death experience, according to the Dispatch.
“Only a cruel, narcissistic person could watch me go through such pain and suffering,” Dalzell said, noting that Fuller “hobbled” on a walker during her husband’s wake and sat in the front row. “I am offended and disgusted that she mocked cancer patients.”
In a statement to the courtroom, Delaware County Prosecutor Carol O’Brien expressed her disbelief for the “horrifying” situation.
“Ms. Fuller took advantage of friends, coworkers, her community and employer — people who trusted and cared for her,” O’Brien said, according to 10TV. “If you’ve ever known someone who has fought cancer, it’s horrifying, and it’s hard to believe that someone would take advantage of the community in this way.”
“Ms. Fuller took much more than money,” O’Brien continued. “She stole time and trust; she caused serious and lasting harm to the victims’ faith in humanity.”

Delaware County Common Pleas Judge Everett Krueger echoed her sentiments, sharing that this was the first time he dealt with such an “evil” case.
“It’s just like nothing I’ve ever heard in all the years I’ve been doing this,” Krueger said, according to the Dispatch. “It’s almost evil what I heard today. It’s just plain evil.”
According to ABC, Fuller told the Ohio Board of Nursing that she lied about having cancer and blamed her actions on her mental illness and depression.
“I know I’ll never be able to pay back the hurt and pain I’ve caused you but I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart,” Fuller said to the victims after her sentencing, in a clip obtained by the news outlet.
“I was suffering — so stuck and lost that I couldn’t get out,” she added, according to the Dispatch. “I never wanted to hurt any of you.”
