Even After Reported Overdose, YouTube Still Moving Forward With Second Demi Lovato Documentary

YouTube is still moving full speed ahead with their planned second Demi Lovato documentary, even after the star singer's reported overdose earlier this week in Los Angeles.

Speaking on Friday afternoon at the summer Television Critics Association press tour, a YouTube exec confirmed the continued existence and development of the project, and the future for it looking ahead.

Susanne Daniels, YouTube's Global Head of Original Content, said (below):

"We're working on a second Demi Lovato documentary and I hope she's feeling better."

Sounds pretty definitive!

Of course, the first Lovato doc that premiered back in October 2017 turned out to be an interesting reveal where the singer opened up about bulimia, and past use of cocaine and alcohol.

There was such a strong fan response to the first doc, too, that YouTube quickly decided to produce this second documentary, as well.

Based on the synopsis of the second doc, it appears we can expect a very similar behind-the-scenes look here as with that first one a year ago -- and after this apparent overdose earlier this week, Lovato may open up about quite a bit.

Should make for interesting, powerful viewing, at least.
