Jessica Alba Says Becoming a Mom "Helped Me Get Closer to My Soul and My Truth"
There's no denying that the three children Jessica Alba shares with her husband, Cash Warren, are the definition of adorable. The actor and Honest Company founder got hitched to Warren in 2008 and announced she was pregnant with her oldest daughter that same year. Alba and Warren then welcomed two more children in 2011 and 2017.
Speaking to People in March 2023, Alba said that having kids "really connected me with my femininity." She added, "[It connected me with] what that means and I think my true power as a person that's here for a reason. And get me out of, frankly, living in survival mode and worried about a bunch of other things that don't matter. And trying to live inside of a super hardcore world where I felt like I was so disconnected from my truth."
She continued: "I think that being a mom really helped me get closer to my soul and my truth."
Alba also said she really wrestles with raising her kids under different financial circumstances than how she grew up. "I wrestle with this! And I try, I try to get them to understand a reality that's just frankly, not a reality that they'll ever understand," she added. "It's not possible for them to understand what it was like for me or what it's genuinely like for other people."
"And I don't know now if they ever really need to see the sadness or the hardship that brings out in people. I don't know if it'll make them better people," she continued. "More importantly, I really, really want them to have empathy and compassion and humility and really operate in the world with kindness and gratitude."

Drake Announces New Bad Bunny Collab: "It's Been Like 6 Years Since Me and Benito Did a Song"
Drake and Bad Bunny are teaming up once again. During the 36-year-old rapper's Los Angeles stop of his It's All a Blur tour on Sunday night, Drake announced that he and the 29-year-old Puerto Rican superstar have a new song on the way. At the show, which Bad Bunny attended with rumored girlfriend Kendall Jenner, Drake told the crowd, "It's been like six years since me and Benito did a song, so we got a song coming for y'all on my album," per a fan video shared on Twitter.
Drake and Bad Bunny previously joined forces for their 2018 hit song, "Mia." The title of their new collaboration is still unknown, but Drake's album, "For All the Dogs," is set to drop very soon. During the third Barclays Center show of his tour in late July, Drake told fans, "I got an album coming in, like, I don't know... A couple of weeks or some sh*t," per Complex.
The forthcoming project marks Drake's eighth studio album and accompanies his "Titles Ruin Everything" poetry book, which came out in July. A statement shared on his website reads, "I made an album to go with the book. They say they miss the old Drake girl don't tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS."

Serena Williams Shares a Video From Her Relaxing Baby Shower Ahead of the Arrival of Baby No. 2
Serena Williams is squeezing in some last-minute rest and relaxation before her second baby arrives. On Aug. 13, the retired tennis pro shared a video from her friends' and family's unique take on a baby shower, which she dubbed a "pre-push party." In the video, which she shared on YouTube, Serena and daughter Olympia Ohanian enjoyed some spa-day pampering and pool time courtesy of her friend Lara Shriftman, who organized the special day.
Williams is expecting her second daughter with husband Alexis Ohanian soon. In between enjoying a facial and foot massages, she took a break to share how she's feeling as her due date approaches. "Baby number two is on the way after, you know, lots of time waiting," she said. "So how am I feeling about it? Excited, anxious, nervous, happy . . . all of the above."
She went on to add that while she's mentally prepared, she still has plenty of practical things to check off her to-do list. Among the tasks she still has to complete before the baby's arrival are putting together the crib and changing table. Fortunately, it looks like she'll have plenty of help, thanks to both Ohanian and her community of friends and family.
While Ohanian didn't appear to score an invite to the "pre-push party," Williams and Olympia were surrounded by lots of their close friends and family, including Williams's mom, Oracene Price. The video included shots of the women wearing matching orange pajamas and laughing as the Olympic gold medalist opened gifts and basked in the relaxing fun of her spa day.
"I feel so loved today," Williams said. "Everyone's here. Family's here. We're all just relaxed. I feel loved and relaxed."
