Francia Raísa isn't talking about her relationship with Selena Gomez. While on a walk on April 30, a photographer asked the actor about the status of their friendship, but Raísa deflected the questions entirely. In the video shared by TMZ, in response to a question about their current relationship, the "How I Met Your Father" star simply said, "Sunday is so fun . . . I'm Francia, I'm hanging out with my dog," and went on to avoid further inquiries. She did, however, eventually respond to one question about whether she would consider donating a kidney again. "I would definitely speak to someone again about organ donation and the process," she said.
In 2017, Raísa donated her organ to longtime friend Gomez, whose ongoing struggles with lupus led to her needing a kidney replacement. Gomez consistently thanked Raísa on social media and in interviews in the years after that - but in November 2022, rumors of a feud began to swirl when Gomez told an interviewer that the only person she felt close to in the industry was Taylor Swift. Raísa then unfollowed Gomez on social media and reportedly commented "interesting" under a video of the interview shared by E! News, though the comment was later deleted. Shortly after, Gomez also commented on a TikTok about the alleged feud, writing, "Sorry I didn't mention every person I know."
In a March episode of the Apple TV+ "Dear . . ." series, Gomez appeared to try to put the rumors to rest, calling Raísa her "best friend." "I will never ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia. The idea of someone not even second-guessing to be a donor was unbelievably overwhelming," Gomez said. "I know I was so, so, so lucky. I understand that that doesn't happen for a lot of people, and I know the outcome of some of those situations and how serious they are, so I do not take it lightly that it's happened to me that way."
Reps for Gomez and Raísa did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR's request for comment.
Stanley Tucci is opening up about his previous battle with cancer. The Citadel actor recently spoke about undergoing chemotherapy and radiation after being diagnosed with cancer at the base of his...On April 8, Entertainment Tonight reported that Taylor Swift and her longtime boyfriend, British actor Joe Alwyn, had split up after six years of dating. People later confirmed the news, which came as a surprise to the "Lavender Haze" singer's fans.
Swift has yet to comment on her reported breakup and is currently performing in her Eras Tour. According to ET's source, the reported split was amicable, and "the relationship had just run its course."
While her past relationships were highly publicized, the singer did everything she could to keep her romance with Alwyn out of the spotlight. Even so, Swift's passionate fans were determined to get to the bottom of her and Alwyn's relationship - specifically when engagement rumors began swirling around the couple.
Engagement (and marriage) speculation around Swift and Alwyn has been circulating online for years, but in an April 2022 interview with WSJ Magazine, the "Conversations With Friends" actor finally addressed the rumors (sort of). "If I had a pound for every time I think I've been told I've been engaged, then I'd have a lot of pound coins," Alwyn said. "I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn't say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn't say."
Swift and Alwyn remained tight-lipped about their relationship after that, but in October 2022, she did reveal that her "Midnights" song "Lavender Haze" was inspired by her relationship with the actor. "Like my relationship for six years, we've had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it," she said in an Instagram video. "And so this song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff." But, sometime after split news broke in April, Swift deleted that video from her Instagram account.
Aside from referencing Alwyn in her songs, Swift only made a handful of public appearances with the "Catherine Called Birdy" actor while they were dating. The start of the reported exes' relationship is a little fuzzy (she was reportedly still dating Calvin Harris when she and Alwyn first met), and the reported end isn't any clearer.
