Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma Attend the US Open to Cheer Serena Williams: "Just Awesome"

Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma have been enjoying a variety of adventures this summer, including an idyllic vacation in Italy. On Aug. 29, the pair continued their streak by attending the US Open together, joining Oprah Winfrey, Queen Latifah, and more in cheering on Serena Williams at the match. "Watching Serena winning again was just awesome!!!" Wilson wrote on Instagram, sharing two photos of the pair in celebration of Williams's first-round win.

Wilson first confirmed she was dating Agruma on June 9 when she posted a picture of her and Agruma on Instagram along with the caption, "I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince . . . but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess."

Wilson later indicated that her relationship was nearly made public without her consent by The Sydney Morning Herald, which published a since-removed op-ed on June 11 that stated it had been planning to run a story about Wilson and her girlfriend two days before the star made her post about the relationship. Wilson later addressed the situation on Twitter, writing, "Thanks for your comments, it was a very hard situation but trying to handle it with grace." The writer of the op-ed later posted an apology.

Since going public with her new relationship, Wilson has been posting plenty of adorable snaps on social media of herself and her girlfriend. The pair were introduced by a friend, Wilson told People on May 18, and spent a while talking on the phone before meeting up. "We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other," Wilson said. "It was a bit old-school in that sense - very romantic."

In the interview, she also opened up about raising her standards and finding healthy love with Agruma. "I think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated and so it's great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship," she said. "There were times - I'm not saying with all my exes, they're great - but there were some times that I was probably putting up with that I shouldn't have. So it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship."

Wilson recently starred in the Netflix film "Senior Year," which premiered on May 13. Agruma, a fashion designer, is the founder of sustainable clothing brand Lemon Ve Limon and luxury jewelry brand DeLys.

Ahead, check out the couple's cutest photos together.

King Viserys's Injury in "House of the Dragon" May Have Deeper Meaning, According to the Book

As "House of the Dragon" sets up the years-long conflict that will tear House Targaryen apart, there are already hints that the royal house is struggling to keep it together. The king, Viserys I, finds himself dealing with a nasty injury, and it could symbolize what's to come.

King Viserys's Injury

At the end of the first episode, Viserys cuts his hand on one of the sharp edges of the Iron Throne (remember, the throne is literally made up of a thousand swords of those conquered during Aegon I Targaryen's conquest of Westeros). By the time the second episode rolls around, it's clear that the medicine of the day isn't doing enough to help him. His hand is infected, and the maesters try some fairly gross treatments to save his fingers, which are clearly decaying.

The Symbolism of King Viserys's Injury

The symbolism of Viserys being cut by his throne would seem fairly straightforward. In George R.R. Martin's books, the people of Westeros have a superstition about the Iron Throne: it reputedly can "judge" those who sit on it without being truly worthy. It also is reportedly constructed as it is, with so many sharp edges, as a symbol of the caution required to be a monarch. Sitting on the throne is a delicate task that requires caution and forethought to avoid injury; it is intended as a symbolic warning against impulsivity in all matters of state.

The implication of his injury, by those standards, is that Viserys is being judged and found wanting. This seems especially true seeing as the injury happens after he makes the decision to let his wife, Aemma, die a painful and gruesome death, all in hopes of getting a living son from her. As the injury worsens, it can also be read as a judgment on Viserys failing to think things through; instead of focusing his efforts on his living heir, Rhaenyra, he's listening to manipulative advice from his various council members to remarry.

What Happens to King Viserys in the Books?

In the books, Viserys is not the Targaryen king best known for being injured on the Iron Throne. That belongs to two other kings: his ancestor, Maegor, and his distant descendant, Aerys II. Maegor, known as "The Cruel" for his brutal reign, was found dead on the throne, having apparently bled out, and rumors swirled that the throne itself had killed him for his violence and unworthiness. Centuries later, the last Targaryen king, Aerys II (aka the "Mad King," Daenerys's father), was nicknamed "King Scab" for constantly having half-healed wounds from cutting himself on the throne, especially as his madness worsened.

The "Dance of the Dragons" civil war is kicked off by the succession crisis following Viserys's death, and with his injury, it seems like "House of the Dragon" is already preparing us for his mortality. In the book "Fire and Blood," however, Viserys actually is the rare Targaryen to die a very peaceful death, but it remains to be seen if the TV version will keep that plot point or make it more dramatic.

Harry Styles Teases a Fan Who Hit Him With a Chicken Nugget: "I Don't Eat Meat"

Harry Styles confirmed some interesting info about himself after a fan threw a chicken nugget at him while he was on stage over the weekend. The "Late Night Talking" singer was performing on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Madison Square Garden as part of his 15-show Live on Tour residency. He walked around the stage and picked up a chicken nugget someone had thrown at him while he was singing.

"Interesting, very interesting approach. Who threw the chicken nugget?" Styles asked in videos seen on social media. He held the nugget aloft as the crowd cheered. "I don't eat chicken, sorry. I don't eat meat," he said. Styles revealed to Vogue back in 2020 that he had been a pescatarian for three years at that point.

"Here, have your nugget back," he said during the Saturday interaction, before throwing the nugget back into the crowd. He joked, "First of all, this is cold, and I'm assuming very old. Would you like it back? Why? Alright, here you go. Don't eat it! Now it's on the floor! Don't go looking for it, we'll get you another nugget."

Fans often throw things at Styles while he's performing, including sunglasses, cowboy hats, presents, and, frequently, LGBTQ+ pride flags. A chicken nugget does seem to be a first, though. The stage for Styles's 2022 tour is set up in the round, which means a larger than normal group of fans is within throwing distance of the stage.

After Styles finishes his residency at New York's MSG on Sept. 21, he'll play six dates in Austin, six dates in Chicago, and 15 dates in Los Angeles. Then, his tour will takes him to other parts of North and South America, before moving on to Australia and Asia next year. He also announced more European tour dates for 2023; when Styles played there earlier in 2022, he was surprised by fan reaction to the "Leave America" line in his hit single "As It Was."

Styles additionally has two films coming out this fall, September's "Don't Worry Darling" and October's "My Policeman." "Don't Worry Darling" stars Florence Pugh and is directed by Olivia Wilde, who Styles started dating during the film's production.

Styles obliquely referenced their relationship, and the criticism Wilde receives from some fans, in an interview with Rolling Stone published Aug. 22. "It's obviously a difficult feeling to feel like being close to me means you're at the ransom of a corner of Twitter . . . " he said. "I just wanted to sing. I didn't want to get into it if I was going to hurt people like that."

Megan Thee Stallion on Making Her Late Parents Proud: "How Can I Impress Them Today?"

Megan Thee Stallion has been navigating fame on her own ever since the deaths of her mother and grandmother back-to-back in 2019. Though the "Traumazine" rapper has previously opened up about losing her family - including her father who died when she was 15 years old - she got candid about her fondest memories with her late parents in a new interview with The Cut, published on Aug. 29.

"I had the coolest parents in the world and I just wanted to be a good mix of both of them, and I feel like I am."

In her profile story, Megan talked about juggling success while parenting herself and recalled the days when her mom, Holly "Holly-Wood" Thomas - who was also a rapper - helped manage her career. "Me and my mom had this good-cop, bad-cop thing going on," she told The Cut of how they would handle industry meetings. "So she would come in the room like, 'This what we ain't doing. F*ck that.' And I'd be like, 'Okay, so, guys, she means . . ,'" Megan added, acting out a nicer attitude. "But now I don't have the luxury of having somebody who could be my bad cop. Now I have to be both."

Before she pursued a professional rap career, Megan revealed that she initially hid her musical passion from her parents out of fear that they wouldn't approve of it. "He always believed I was going to be somebody," she said of her father in her interview, whom she noted long thought she'd be a model one day. Of her mother, Megan added: "I didn't tell her I wanted to rap. I kept it to myself. But I was in the corner studying her."

Obviously, Megan's mother eventually learned about her immense talent, and even though she's no longer with her physically after losing a battle with brain cancer, the "Her" rapper shared that she still concerns herself with making both her parents proud. "I had the coolest parents in the world and I just wanted to be a good mix of both of them, and I feel like I am," she said. "That's what keeps me going, keeps me inspired: How can I impress them today?"

What We Learned From Meghan Markle's The Cut Interview, Including a Potential Return to Instagram

Meghan Markle is reflecting on post-royal life as she looks toward her new chapter. The Duchess of Sussex spoke in detail about her most recent endeavors - including her newly-launched "Archetypes" podcast - following her and Prince Harry's royal exit in a rare interview with The Cut, published on Aug. 29. In it, Markle got candid about her decision to leave social media behind (and a potential return to at least one platform), her and Harry's move to Montecito, California, their forthcoming projects with Netflix, and how they're currently teaching their son, Archie, manners. She also discussed how she and the Duke of Sussex found their massive $14.65 million Montecito home.

Markle's new interview comes nearly a year-and-a-half after she and Harry sat down with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 for a wide-ranging televised conversation. The interview led to disclosures about the scrutiny and blatant racism Markle has experienced since she and Harry first got together, her complicated relationship with the British press, and the lack of support they received from the royal family before they stepped away from their roles.

Markle also recently discussed how some people perceive her ambition as a bad thing during the first episode of her podcast with guest Serena Williams. Other special celebrity guests who will appear on future episodes include Constance Wu, Issa Rae, Lisa Ling, Margaret Cho, and Ziwe.

Fergie and Her Son Axl Duhamel Love to Match in Their Cutest Photos

Former Black Eyed Peas star Fergie and her son, Axl, are two peas in a pod. Fergie shares Axl with her ex-husband, Josh Duhamel, whom she split from in 2017. Since then, the two have been successfully coparenting their child, and Axl has been Fergie's go-to date for nights out, events, and even a Black Lives Matter protest.

Axl is named after Axl Rose of Guns N' Roses, and in a 2013 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Fergie explained that the name came to her in a dream she had while pregnant. "I had this dream and I was in the audience at this festival. It was outdoors and it was all grimy and nobody knew who I was," she said. "On stage singing was Jim Morrison and then came Bob Marley and then Axl Rose. I was in heaven in this dream and I'm dancing and just getting into the music. It was really beautiful . . . and I woke Josh [Duhamel] up and I said, 'Honey, honey, honey, he kicked me. He finally kicked me.'"

Axl is just as stylish as his famous mama, which you can see with one quick little scroll through Fergie's Instagram. Ahead, check out some of the cutest photos she's shared with her little man and get to know him better.

"House of the Dragon"'s Opening Credits Sequence Is a Warning and an Omen

The second episode of "House of the Dragon" introduced what appears to be the show's opening credits going forward. They feature the same theme song that was used in all eight seasons of "Game of Thrones," composed by Ramin Djawadi who did all the music for that series. Djawadi returns to score "House of the Dragon," but the show's creative team didn't change the iconic theme song itself.

The "Game of Thrones" opening credits famously featured models of the most important locations in Westeros and across the Narrow Sea. As events took place on the show that changed those locations, those changes were also made to the models shown in the credits. When the Lannisters took the Iron Throne, the banners in King's Landing changed from stags to lions. When Winterfell was burnt to the ground, that was represented visually, too.

The "House of the Dragon" credits use a similar strategy, with a pretty big change. Instead of using models of actual locations from "House of the Dragon," the series uses a model of Old Valyria - similar to the one King Viserys (Paddy Considine) keeps in his room in the Red Keep. As the credits travel through the model, blood flows through the streets. The model also features symbols and small items that represent the different characters of the show.

The question remains of why they chose Old Valyria for this, instead of using King's Landing or Dragonstone, locations tied closely to the Targaryens that will be seen in the show. The Targaryens (and Valeryons) trace their ancestry - and their dragons - back to Valyria. (It's also where all Valyrian steal comes from.) Valyria fell about 100 years before Aegon the Conqueror took over Westeros, but the Targaryens fled the region before the cataclysmic events, known as the Doom of Valyria, took place. That's because Daenys Targaryen dreamt of its fall and warned her family before it was too late.

It's not quite certain how the Doom happened, but every hill in Valyria exploded at once. Ash, smoke, and fire rose into the air, killing everyone and everything, including dragons. Other parts of the area were destroyed by a tsunami. It's possible the Doom was a natural volcanic explosion, but in the world of "Game of Thrones," some believe it was caused by magic or as punishment from the gods.

Which brings us back to what this means for "House of the Dragon." We know that Viserys puts a huge stock in dreams and the things they might foretell. That's part of why he shares Aegon's dream, the Song of Ice and Fire, with Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock). Viserys also had his own dream about having a son and heir, which has influenced a lot of his decisions, ultimately leading to his wife Aemma's death.

But perhaps more importantly, Viserys's family is heading toward fighting and bloodshed thanks to his own decisions about who will succeed him as heir. The opening credits, then, serve as an ominous warning of the violence to come. What version of House Targaryen will survive?

Sign up for HBO Max now to watch "House of the Dragon."

Bella Hadid Has a Dazzling Cameo in Offset's Music Video for New Single "Code"

Consider the code cracked. In preparation for his upcoming solo album, Offset pulled no punches for his "Code" music video. The visuals for the new single, featuring Moneybagg Yo, starred none other than Bella Hadid, who posed in an enviable amount of diamond jewelry, long black gloves, and a glittering bikini, before modeling a slew of opulent Balenciaga looks. The model wore her hair slicked back for a majority of the video, drawing attention to her bleached brows, and strutted alongside the Migos member in everything from neon feathers to oversized denim.

Hadid seems to have had a blast filming the video. The model shared three separate posts on Instagram featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot. In one post, she appears to be using her downtime in between filming scenes to get even more work done, which leads to the image of her typing away while wearing long black gloves and her bejeweled bikini.

Meanwhile, "Code" marks the continuation of Offset's solo career. Although the rapper has not officially commented on the status of Migos, the other two members of the group (Quavo and Takeoff) are also focusing on their own work, recently releasing their single "Big Stunna" featuring Birdman. But according to a series of tweets from Offset, he hopes to have 13 songs of his own on the way, saying that he has a female R&B artist "going crazy on the album" and describing the overall vibe in three words: "Fun excitement realness."

Although there are rumors that Offset is no longer a part of Migos, he still has plenty of support from his fans and his wife, Cardi B. "Video is sickening 🔥 …Proud🥲…." Cardi wrote on Twitter following the release of the "Code" music video. Offset teased that Cardi might even be a part of the new album, responding to a fan who asked if Cardi would be featured by saying, "You know how we coming."

Check out the "sickening" video above, and let Hadid and Offset bring you up to code.

Hulu's "The Patient" Isn't True, but the Story's Not Unlike Some Scary Real Incidents

Hulu is adding another miniseries to its ever-expanding library of titles. As the crime genre has grown increasingly popular, the platform has tackled several real-life tragedies and transformed them into spine-chilling limited series, such as "Candy" and "The Act." Now, Hulu will be the streaming home of new FX drama series "The Patient," a psychological thriller that centers around a therapist's horrifying experience with a dangerous client.

"The Patient" is produced by Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg, the masterminds behind FX's long-running drama "The Americans," and features a talented cast that includes Steve Carell and Domhnall Gleeson. Amid the hype around the series, which is set to premiere on Aug. 30, you may wonder if "The Patient" is based on a true story. Here's all we know about the inspiration behind the thriller.

What Is "The Patient" About?

Esteemed therapist Alan Strauss (Carell) has had a successful career treating patients. Alan lives a normal life and enjoys helping people understand themselves so they can have more meaningful relationships with those close to them, as well as the world around them. His latest patient, Sam Fortner (Gleeson), presents himself as a challenge. Throughout their sessions together, Sam reveals that he needs help because he can't control his compulsions. Soon enough, Alan is kidnapped and held hostage by Sam, whose compulsions turn out to be for murder. Now, Alan must fight to survive while also meeting Sam's demands to cure him before he becomes one of Sam's next victims.

Is "The Patient" Based on a True Story?

"The Patient" is not based on a real incident. Showrunners Fields and Weisberg wrote the original storyline together and have not claimed that a singular true-crime story inspired the plot.

Outside of the storyline, the duo did reveal that Carell's character, who is Jewish, was inspired by their own lives. In a summer press tour for the Television Critics Association on Aug. 2, Weisberg explained the characterization of Alan. "When we came up with the original idea, the character wasn't originally Jewish," he said, according to Variety. "And then you start, as you always do, looking for ways to add specificity and depth. And we came up with that idea pretty quickly. But it allowed us to tap into things from our own lives . . . [it] added just certain dimensions and it became really a lot more fun to write in a certain way after that."

Carell's casting as a Jewish character has garnered some criticism, as the actor is not Jewish himself. Touching on the subject matter, Weisberg said: "And casting Steve, who is not Jewish, I think our feeling has always been, as television writers, that we're kind of in an area where people are pretending to be other people. That's what everyone does all the time. And that's just our main outlook on it. But we understand some people feel differently about it and that is also fine, too."

Are There Any Real-Life Cases That Mirror "The Patient"?

There are a number of startling real-life cases that mirror that of "The Patient." Most recently, a social worker in Palm Beach County, FL, was allegedly kidnapped, beaten, sexually assaulted, and held hostage by her patient in July, as reported by Florida news station WPTV. The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was working with 20-year-old suspect Tzvi Allswang to help him learn social skills and practice for a job interview when their session allegedly turned into a harrowing 15-hour ordeal. The saga ended when Allswang was shot by police. He is currently charged with multiple crimes, including attempted murder and sexual battery. Allswang was denied bond and is being held in jail.

Back in 2018, a Fullerton, CA-based therapist was held hostage and stabbed by a woman, though their professional relationship was not disclosed at the time, per CBS Los Angeles. Two social workers in San Francisco were the victims of a phone scam in 2021; they were essentially held them hostage by a scammer who pretended to be a law enforcement officer and demanded thousands of dollars in bail money from the two for failing to testify at a trial (via the San Francisco Chronicle).

While "The Patient" is not based on a true story, the storyline itself is enough to bring you to the edge of your seat. The series hits FX and Hulu on Aug. 30, but until then, watch the trailer below!

Brittany Snow and Tyler Stanaland's Low-Key Love Story

Brittany Snow stole fans' hearts as Chloe in the "Pitch Perfect" franchise and again in "Someone Great," in which she played cynical Blair Helms. Now her husband, Tyler Stanaland, is stepping into the spotlight as one of the Oppenheim real estate agents on the new Netflix series "Selling the OC," which premiered Aug. 24. The "Selling Sunset" spinoff follows the lives and coastal luxe real estate behind Jason Oppenheim's new Newport Beach, CA, brokerage. Stanaland is prominently featured in the season-one trailer, leaving fans to wonder whether Snow will make an appearance on the show.

The couple began dating sometime in 2018 after Stanaland slid into Snow's DMs (celebrities, they're just like us!). For the most part, they prefer to keep their relationship out of the public eye. However, Snow is slowly allowing herself to open up a little bit more."I keep things very to myself because I feel like the magic gets lost if you promote it too much, but I don't know!" Snow told US Weekly. "When you're in love...I just don't want to think about it too much anymore."

See all of Snow and Stanaland's big relationship milestones ahead, including their March 2020 wedding, which took place just days before lockdown!

Matilda Lutz Slips Into Red Sonja's Chain-Mail Bikini For Reboot Movie

"Red Sonja" is finally getting a movie. Millennium Media announced on Aug. 23 that the movie, based on the comic-book character of the same name, will star Matilda Lutz as Red Sonja alongside "Batwoman" star Wallis Day and "The Umbrella Academy" actor Robert Sheehan. Millennium also confirmed the movie is currently in production.

In case the name doesn't ring any bells for you, here's a refresher. Red Sonja is a comic-book character who first appeared in Marvel's Conan the Barbarian series from 1973 to 1995. In 2005, she moved over to Dynamite Comics, where they eventually rebooted the character's backstory. They've consistently published Red Sonja series since then. Red Sonja famously wears a chain-mail bikini with thigh-high boots and long gloves. More recent issues have also portrayed the character as bisexual.

There's one previous "Red Sonja" movie, a 1985 flick starring Brigitte Nielsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Rose McGowan was once attached to a new film but had to back out after injuries. The project had been stuck in developmental hell since then.

"Red Sonja" is directed by M.J. Bassett from a script by Joey Soloway and Tasha Huo. "I've wanted to make a Red Sonja movie since I was a teenager - she has been a powerful presence for me and a character that I have always wanted to bring to the screen with my own voice and vision," Bassett said in a statement to Deadline. "When I met Matilda Lutz, I knew she had all the magic I was looking for and could see the complexity and depth she would bring to Sonja."

Read on for everything we know about the "Red Sonja" movie, including the full cast and release date.

Tom Hanks Witnesses His Wooden Puppet Come to Life in Disney's New "Pinocchio" Trailer

Disney's live-action reimagining of "Pinocchio" is headed our way in September, and we finally have a glimpse of what's to come from the magical tale. On May 31, Disney teased a short clip for the forthcoming film (not to be confused with Guillermo del Toro's stop-motion adaptation set to hit Netflix in December) with Tom Hanks completely transformed into the infamous Pinocchio woodcarver Geppetto. "Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight," Hanks says in the teaser, reciting the iconic wish from the original 1940 movie.

On Aug. 24, Disney released "Pinocchio"'s full trailer with another close-up look at all the magic that brings Benjamin Evan Ainsworth's wooden puppet to life. With animated appearances from the famous Jiminy Cricket character and Cynthia Erivo dolled up as the enchanting Blue Fairy, Disney's "Pinocchio" is surely a dazzling update to the beloved kids classic.

In addition to Hanks, Erivo, and Ainsworth, the star-studded cast of "Pinocchio" also includes Keegan-Michael Key, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Luke Evans, and Lorraine Bracco. Disney's new reimagining is the latest to get the live-action treatment following the release of "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers." The Robert Zemeckis-directed film is set to premiere on Disney+ on Sept. 8.
