Presenting the 2021 Golden Globe Awards Winners
Award season has officially commenced thanks to the Golden Globes. On Sunday night, the ceremony honored various movie and TV shows from the past year. Daniel Kaluuya was the first winner of the night for best supporting actor in Judas and the Black Messiah, and the rest of the awards are slowing rolling in.
When the nominations were first announced earlier this month, they were met with some mixed reactions from fans. While female directors received historic nominations, there was also a glaring lack of diversity within the nominees. Most recently, stars spoke out against the Hollywood Foreign Press Association after it was reported that the organization has zero Black members. See which shows and movies took home a Golden Globe ahead as we update the post throughout the night.

SNL Is on a Mission to Ruin Our Childhoods, and Now It's Sullied Cinderella
He really didn’t clock the shoe as weird at all??? pic.twitter.com/41OaOcf1r0
- Saturday Night Live - SNL (@nbcsnl) February 28, 2021
Saturday Night Live is on a mission to taint all of our childhood fairy tales and films, and it's doing a damn good job at it. It turned Ratatouille into an R-rated mess and put the Grinch in a polygamous relationship with some poor Who's parents, and now it's tainting Cinderella. And right after we finally got Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella streaming on Disney+!
During the Feb. 27 show, host and musical guest Nick Jonas put on his finest to play Prince Charming for a reimagined Cinderella ending. The evil stepsisters and stepmother, played by Cecily Strong, Melissa Villaseñor, and Kate McKinnon, continually mock the titular heroine (Chloe Fineman) until the prince brings out the glass slipper. Unlike the classic tale, the slipper is far too small to fit a grown woman, so this doesn't end with Cinderella marrying her prince and gaining freedom. Instead, it turns out that the shoe belongs to Aidy Bryant's Mouselina, whom the prince somehow forgot he had hooked up with. His valet Kenan Thompson kept mum because, like all good confidantes, he doesn't like to yuck anyone's yum. Watch the full sketch above!

Regé-Jean Page Continued the New SNL Tradition and Left a Sweet Note For Nick Jonas
It seems like the hosts of Saturday Night Live are determined to establish their own tradition, and it's honestly so sweet. Following in the footsteps of Dan Levy and Regina King, who both left sweet notes for their host successors in their dressing rooms after taking their turn on the SNL stage, Regé-Jean Page passed on the kind gesture to Nick Jonas for his turn on Feb. 27. The "Spaceman" singer, pulling double duty as the night's host and musical guest, shared a photo of said note on his Twitter page before taking the stage.
Keeping his note short and sweet, the Bridgerton star wrote, "Just have the best time, Nick!" The Jonas Brother tweeted, "That's the plan! Thanks for the note, @regejean."
Between his musical performances, pretending to be a personal trainer, and completely ruining Cinderella for us all, we can bet that Nick had a very good time. We can't wait to see what he will leave for Maya Rudolph, who returns to the SNL stage on March 27!

I Feel Personally Attacked by SNL Calling Out Women's Obsession With True-Crime TV Shows
Listen, self-care looks different for everyone - for some people, it's long, relaxing baths, and for other people, it's learning the haunting history of people's gruesome death at the hands of a serial killer. I'm not saying this Saturday Night Live sketch is completely based on my Netflix queue, but there's a possibility.
During Nick Jonas's hosting gig on Feb. 27, SNL called out the phenomenon that is women's love for streaming all kinds of terrifying true-crime TV shows when they're alone. Whether it's Night Stalker, Making a Murderer, or Mommy Dead and Dearest, ladies are indulging in the horrifying while folding laundry, paying taxes, gushing over babies, and basking in sweet alone time. It's not our fault; it's relaxing. And although Nick chimes in to remind us that cult shows hold an appeal as well (and baking shows, can't forget those), let's be honest, it's all about the murder shows. Watch the full skit above!
