Dwayne Johnson Calls Vin Diesel's Invite to Return For Fast 10 "an Example of His Manipulation"
Well, it looks like we can kiss all hopes of Dwayne Johnson potentially returning to the Fast & Furious franchise goodbye. After buzz surrounding Johnson's absence from F9, which premiered earlier this year, series star Vin Diesel took a drastic approach to bait his former costar/rival into getting back on the Fast & Furious track with an Instagram post he shared back in November.
"My little brother Dwayne . . . the time has come," Diesel wrote in a caption, along with a throwback photo of the two from Fast Five. He added: "I say this out of love . . . but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. . . . I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny." To add to his plea to Johnson, Diesel also mentioned his children in his post as well as a commitment to fulfilling his "promise to Pablo," likely a reference to Paul Walker, who passed away in 2013.
Johnson previously told The Hollywood Reporter that he wished all his former costars "best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me." But fans of the film franchise still hoped that Johnson would reconsider his stance after Diesel's public invitation. However, in a new interview with CNN, Johnson slammed Diesel's new comments and stated that he has no interest in returning to the movie series.
"I was very surprised by Vin's recent post," he told the outlet. "This past June, when Vin and I actually connected not over social media, I told him directly - and privately - that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return."
He went on to say Diesel's public post was "an example of his manipulation" and criticized him for bringing up his children and Walker's death. Johnson also said the two had already come to a "clear understanding" about his decision to end his Fast & Furious journey with "gratitude and grace." "It's unfortunate that this public dialogue has muddied the waters," he continued in his interview. "Regardless, I'm confident in the Fast universe and its ability to consistently deliver for the audience, and I truly wish my former co-stars and crew members the best of luck and success in the next chapter."

There's Some Major Astrological Energy Behind Chloe Bailey's Confidence
Chloe Bailey (who also goes by Chlöe), who is famously known for being one half of the sister duo Chloe x Halle, broke the internet in late 2021 when she released her solo debut single, "Have Mercy." The body-positive anthem is a reminder to appreciate our assets and celebrate our bodies regardless of criticisms from others. Remaining confident amidst the negative chatter has become thematic for Chloe, and she's passing on the message of self-assurance through her music along with transparent videos in which she's been open about her struggles with accepting her body. The talented Cancer is proving to be more than a sensitive heart, and instead looks like a bonafide powerhouse in the music industry, and we're definitely here for it.
A scroll through Chloe's social media feed will give you a taste of who the singer is, but if you're an astrology-lover, we're here to provide a celestial perspective. POPSUGAR spoke to TikTok astrologer Astrodim to venture into Chloe Bailey's birth chart, and here's what we found.
Sun and Moon
Our birth charts are multilayered with different celestial bodies. Our "big three" is comprised of our sun, moon, and rising placements that dictate things about our inner selves, emotions, and social masks. Unfortunately, we can't confirm Chloe's birth time, so there's no way to know what her rising sign is, but we can still paint a picture of her astrological identity.
Sun in Cancer
When it comes to our core being, our essence, our sun sign embodies most of the qualities we can identify in others and vice versa. It's one of the most visible and noticeable placements in our charts besides our rising signs. Chloe's sun sign is in sweet and sensitive Cancer, which makes sense if you watched her Global Citizen performance with her sister, Halle, where she teared up, overwhelmed by all the love on the stage. Being able to freely express emotions is a staple for water signs like Cancers.
"The more Cancer suns [lean on their emotions], the more they shine, which is perfect for Chloe's music creation," Astrodim told POPSUGAR. "This could explain why Chloe is so passionate in her performances as well as why she often sheds a tear or two while performing."
Moon in Libra
Our inner selves, including our emotional responses, are represented by our moon signs. Because this planet is so private, it's not always obvious or visible to anyone besides those closest to us. For Chloe, her moon sign is stationed in balanced and sociable Libra. These air signs are all about justice and equality, so when it comes to emotional responses, it's likely Chloe gives others the benefit of the doubt instead of responding super emotionally.
"Libra Moons naturally react to the world more passively, not because they are afraid, but because it's important for them to understand both sides and to be fair," Astrodim explained. "They want to promote peace. You can see this in Chloe when she continuously tries to diffuse situations between her fans, other folks, and even other artists on Twitter."
Air signs tend to keep a safe distance from their emotions and rather analyze them logically, although Libras can be more emotionally open than their air sign counterparts. This could explain why Chloe's very open about sharing her feelings with her friends and fans on social media, being that Libras are so social.
Personal Planets
Along with our sun and moon signs, birth charts also contains personal planets. These placements include our Mercury, Venus, and Mars signs, which represent different aspects of our personality, including our self-expression, ambition, and even fashion sense.
Mercury in Leo
In astrology, Mercury represents our communication style and our mindset. It's visible in how we express ourselves through writing and casual conversations. This placement can be seen most through Chloe's songwriting, which is powerful, confident, and unapologetic. That's why it's probably not super surprising that Chloe's Mercury is in the self-assured sign of Leo (um, have you seen the music video for "Have Mercy"?).
In a recent video for Genius, Chloe revealed that "Have Mercy" was a response to the comments she was receiving about her "doing too much" and showing off her body for the sole purpose of getting attention. She bites back with ultra-sexy attire and killer moves - on brand for someone with a Leo Mercury.
"People with Mercury in Leo are naturally creative and love showing the world what they are made of," Astrodim said. "This could explain Chloe's new social media presence, especially with her showing the process of creating her music."
Venus in Gemini
Venus is the planet in our birth chart that represents beauty, romance, and expression of art and aesthetics. This is usually manifested within our relationships, including how we give and receive love, but it's also visible in our sense of personal style. Chloe's glam is typically sensual, colorful, and eclectic.
Geminis are ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication and the mind, so when it comes to romance, it's likely that Chloe is attracted to intellect, knowledge, and deep conversations. In an interview with the Breakfast Club, Chloe opened up about what she looks for in a partner. "I like the guy really cool and like, fire on the outside, but they got a nerd out on the inside. They have to be really sweet and kind and funny and intellectual," she said.
Mars in Gemini
Mars is a placement that dictates our aggression, passion, and drive. This planet is evident in the way we pursue our passions and respond to conflict. Chloe's Mars sign is in the mutable air sign, Gemini, meaning she's easily adaptable, but not so much confrontational. When it comes to conflict, Chloe tends to keep her cool, sticking with the facts of the case.
"Gemini Mars folks are multitaskers and can do many things at once; all they need is the word, or an idea," Astrodim said. "This could be why Chloe is involved in many roles in her music creation as well as her acting role on Grown-ish."
When reacting to criticisms over her expression of her body in the "Have Mercy" music video, Chloe is all smiles. "'Why are you showing so much skin?' Because I can, it's my body, and I'm so proud of it, and I hope that you're proud of yours, too," she says matter-of-factly. She isn't impassioned nor does she seems fazed by the disapproval of others, which is a staple of Gemini's qualities. She's sticking to the facts, and the reality is, she's assured in herself and comfortable with her body, and that's really all there is to it.

25 Mind-Bending Movies Like Inception That You'll Be Thinking About For Days
Film director Christopher Nolan is most known for his mind-bending movies that stretch the limits of reality and dive into the metaphysical. Inception, which Nolan wrote and directed, was released in 2010 and received rave reviews from both audiences and critics. The film is considered to be one of the greatest films of the decade, being nominated for a total of eight Academy Awards and winning four. The legacy of Nolan's Inception paved the way for several other alternate-reality and metaphysical-themed movies to follow, pushing viewers to think outside their conventional boxes.
In the film, professional thief and international fugitive Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) has a special ability to infiltrate people's dreams and extract valuable information from their subconscious. Cobb's rare skill makes him sought after in the complicated and corrupt world of corporate espionage. While Cobb has become popular among some of the world's biggest corporate figures, his work has cost him his life and all that he loves. When the opportunity arises for Cobb to redeem himself and regain control of his life, he is willing to do whatever it takes. This new task, however, is more difficult than his previous jobs, with Cobb having to plant an idea in a mind, not steal one.
Inception is entertaining while making its audience think of greater philosophical and metaphysical ideas outside of the norm. With a stellar cast, stunning cinematography, and an incredible storyline, Inception has continued to remain popular among audiences over a decade since its release. The film also led to a renaissance for complicated and intelligent sci-fi as no film of this nature had since The Matrix in the '90s. If you are still scratching your head about Inception's ending, dive into these mind-bending movies, reminiscent of Inception and its themes.

Insecure Showrunner Prentice Penny Reveals That 3 Finale Endings Exist: I Would Like to See It
Admit it: we were all a bit worried about how Insecure was going to wrap up all the loose ends during season five. Was Issa Dee (Issa Rae) going to stay with Nathan (Kendrick Sampson)? How is Tiffany (Amanda Seales) doing with life in Denver? Is Molly (Yvonne Orji) going to get her happily-ever-after with Taurean (Leonard Robinson)? What happens with Kelli (Natasha Rothwell)? She was having so much growth! Well, in the season finale on Dec. 26, showrunner Prentice Penny gave us answers to all those questions. Issa and Lawrence (Jay Ellis) chose each other once more, Molly and Taurean get married, Kelli falls in love with a man named Desmond (James Bland) and they're expecting a baby, and Tiffany is struggling in Denver and is pregnant with her second child with Derek (Wade Allain-Marcus).
Overwhelmingly, fans were happy to see how the series unfolded. But some weren't enthused about Issa and Lawrence being together in the end and others wanted to see more detailed storytelling of how Kelli met Desmond. Penny admitted on Twitter that she wrote three different endings out of fear fans would be disappointed. "Just so you know. WE AGONIZED on the finale and wrote three versions before we landed on this. #InsecureHBO," Penny said. He added, "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't stressed how the finale was received. I did NOT want to direct it. I was scared of the heat it would get if it didn't measure up. Which is the exact reason why I know I needed to. So glad y'all received it in the spirit it was made. #InsecureHBO."
I, for one, was happy with the ending. It showed that life doesn't have to be fully figured out by 30 and that there's always room for growth. I'm still crying that it's the end! So Prentice, can you release the alternate finales as compensation for my pain?

Meghan Markle Receives Public Apology From British Tabloid: "This Is a Victory Not Just For Me"
Meghan Markle is celebrating a major victory for herself and other people who have been attacked by the British tabloids. As of Sunday, #MeghanMarkleWon is trending after the Duchess of Sussex received a printed public apology from The Mail on Sunday. The front-page apology comes 10 months after Mark Warby, a High Court judge in London, ruled that The Mail on Sunday invaded Megan's privacy by publishing a private letter she sent to her father, Thomas Markle, in 2018. The publication is also legally required to pay 90% of Markle's $1.88 million legal expenses.
"The Duchess of Sussex wins her legal case for copyright infringement against Associated Newspapers for articles published in The Mail on Sunday and posted on Mail Online," the front page read.
"Following a hearing on 19-20 January, 2021, and a further hearing on 5 May, 2021, the Court has given judgment for the Duchess of Sussex on her claim for copyright infringement," the remainder of the apology continued on page three. "The Court found that Associated Newspapers infringed her copyright by publishing extracts of her handwritten letter to her father in The Mail on Sunday and on Mail Online. Financial remedies have been agreed."
Earlier this month, Meghan issued a statement acknowledging her win against Associated Newspapers. "This is a victory not just for me, but for anyone who has ever felt scared to stand up for what's right," she wrote. "While this win is precedent setting, what matters most is that we are now collectively brave enough to reshape a tabloid industry that conditions people to be cruel, and profits from the lies and pain that they create."
"This is a victory not just for me, but for anyone who has ever felt scared to stand up for what's right."
She continued, "From day one, I have treated this lawsuit as an important measure of right versus wrong. The defendant has treated it as a game with no rules. The longer they dragged it out, the more they could twist facts and manipulate the public (even during the appeal itself), making a straightforward case extraordinarily convoluted in order to generate more headlines and sell more newspapers - a model that rewards chaos above truth. In the nearly three years since this began, I have been patient in the face of deception, intimidation, and calculated attacks."
Fans are celebrating Meghan's victory with the hashtag #MeghanMarkleWon. "if you see #MeghanMarkleWon then you know that the Daily Mail gave up hardcore. Meghan Markle is an example of fighting to win what's right," one user wrote. "Waking up to see that the squad has #MeghanMarkleWon trending and i'm living! The Daily Fail tried to hide the news but not on #Sussexsquad's watch!" another user shared.
On Feb. 11, the Duchess of Sussex shared an initial statement after winning her privacy lawsuit against Associated Newspapers, which owns The Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday. "After two long years of pursuing litigation, I am grateful to the courts for holding Associated Newspapers and The Mail on Sunday to account for their illegal and dehumanizing practices," Meghan's statement began. "These tactics (and those of their sister publications MailOnline and The Daily Mail) are not new; in fact, they've been going on for far too long without consequence. For these outlets, it's a game. For me and so many others, it's real life, real relationships, and very real sadness. The damage they have done and continue to do runs deep."
"We all lose when misinformation sells more than truth."
She continued her statement by emphasizing that "the world needs reliable, fact-checked, high-quality news," adding, "We all lose when misinformation sells more than truth, when moral exploitation sells more than decency, and when companies create their business model to profit from people's pain." That being said, she considers "this comprehensive win on both privacy and copyright," a victory for all. "We now know, and hope it creates legal precedent, that you cannot take somebody's privacy and exploit it in a privacy case, as the defendant has blatantly done over the past two years."
She ended her statement by saying that she shares this victory "with each of you - because we all deserve justice and truth, and we all deserve better." She went on to thank her husband, Prince Harry, her mother, Doria Ragland, and her legal team, including Jenny Afia, "for her unrelenting support throughout this process."
Following their exit from the British royal family in January 2020, Megan and Harry severed ties with several British tabloids. In April 2020, the couple sent a letter to the editors of The Sun, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, and Daily Express, saying they refuse to "offer themselves up as currency for an economy of clickbait and distortion" and will have "zero engagement" with the publications. Since then, the couple has relocated to California, where they have been putting their main focus on their nonprofit organization Archewell.
