This 15-Year-Old Sang an Incredible Cover of "Never Enough," and OMG, That High Note
Olina Loau put on "the greatest show" during Monday night's episode of Australia's Got Talent. The 15-year-old student from Western Sydney brought her parents along for her powerhouse cover of "Never Enough" that wowed judges Nicole Scherzinger, Shane Jacobson, Manu Feildel, and Lucy Durack, and left host, Ricki-Lee, in tears.
Loua's Greatest Showman song choice is certainly a challenging one, as Scherzinger noted before Loua kicked off her performance. This is not a drill, folks: Netflix's latest drama features a combination of talents that may in fact blow your mind. Academy Award winners Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci star in the streamer's upcoming film The Irishman, directed by the one and only Martin Scorsese. The film, which uses digital effects and makeup to de-age the actors to a dark witchcraft-like degree, follows De Niro as Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran, a World War II veteran and labor union leader who allegedly became a hitman for the Bufalino crime family and played a role in the disappearance of union activist Jimmy Hoffa. Pacino stars as the notoriously mob-connected union boss Hoffa, with a supporting cast that includes Anna Paquin, Bobby Cannavale, Ray Romano, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Harvey Keitel.
Described as "an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America," The Irishman will catch your attention with its moody cinematography (thanks to the Oscar-nominated Rodrigo Prieto, who also shot Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street and Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain) and intriguing gangster drama, but it's the VFX magic at work that will really catch your eye. Woman Allegedly Steals Dog from Colorado Man as He Was Having a Fatal Seizure
Police are searching for a woman who allegedly stole a dog from a Colorado man as he was lying on the ground, helpless, after suffering from a seizure.
On Tuesday, the 59-year-old, who had been feeling sick that day, decided to walk to 7-Eleven with his dog when he suddenly had a seizure, the Longmont Fire Police and OEM said in a statement shared on Facebook.
He then fell and was not able to get up until emergency responders arrived on the scene, according to the statement.
Surveillance footage from the convenience store shows a woman removing the pooch from the area as paramedics attended to the man, police said in the statement.
The man was then taken to a hospital where he died. He has not been publicly identified.
Struck with grief over the loss of both of their family member and their furry companion, police explained that relatives of the man pleaded with authorities to help find the missing animal.
When they were shown the video tape, the family said they did not know the woman, according to the statement.
Police have not yet been able to identify her.

On Wednesday, Deputy Police Chief Satur was walking on Main Street when he spotted what he believed to be the dog, whose name is Sampson, Sammy for short, according to the statement.
He then contacted the family, who confirmed that was indeed their beloved dog.
An hour later the family was reunited with Sampson, who showered them with love, police said.

“We understand this was an emotional reunion,” Longmont Police said in the statement. “But, kisses all around to the large group of family that came to pick Sampson. He was thrilled to see them.”
Family member Marci Millington Lary commented on the Facebook post and thanked officers for their help: “We are so grateful and relieved to have our Sam Sam back home. Yes, there are some malicious people out there in the world, but there are also kind, compassionate and caring people and we are so fortunate to live in a community like this.”
Lary did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Ahead of the series finale on Wednesday evening, the actress shared an emotional Instagram post in tribute of the five years she starred on the CW show.
“Jane the Virgin. Wow. We started shooting the first season of Jane in July 2014,” she writes. “A few days into shooting I turned 30 on set. Yesterday I turned 35. And today is the very last episodes, 99 and 100 airing of Jane The Virgin.”

Jane the Virgin Is at an End, but a Spinoff Is on the Way! Here's What You Need to Know
The final season of The CW's Jane the Virgin is at an end, which means it's time to direct our attention to the show's spinoff, Jane the Novela. Fans are obviously very excited about any new information about the project, so we went ahead and got some for you. Jane the Virgin creator Jennie Snyder Urman shared some juicy details about the upcoming series, which is being written by Valentina Garza, while speaking to journalists during the Television Critics Association press tour in January, and since then a bunch more tidbits have come out. Let's break it all down!
Gina Rodriguez Will Narrate the New Show
No offense to Anthony Mendez, who voices the Latin Lover Narrator on Jane the Virgin, but our girl's got this. It also makes a lot of sense for her to do it, since Snyder Urman said "the spinoff is a different conceit, because they're Jane's novels that she'll write in the future."
If Snyder Urman has her way, Rodriguez will also direct. She's already directed two episodes of Jane the Virgin so far, including the season five premiere, which features her character giving one mammoth monologue and is therefore even more of a directing challenge. On top of that, she's tackled an episode of the other series Snyder Urman executive produces, Charmed. After the panel, Snyder Urman said of Rodriguez's directing that "I knew she was going to be amazing with the actors - that was no surprise to me - but I did not know what a genius she was with composition and cameras and framing. I mean, next level."
It's Closer to the American Horror Story Definition of an 'Anthology'
As opposed to a different story each episode like in Black Mirror, Snyder Urman said that this show will tell one complete story a season, similar to the way it's done on FX's American Horror Story or HBO's True Detective.
This makes sense, she reminded us, because traditional telenovelas tell a story over one season and then move on. "It feels really exciting to be able to tell this kind of emotional, dramatic, scary, funny story all in one season," she said.
Perhaps this might also change the show's chances with the Emmy Awards? Jane the Virgin has always been unfortunately neglected by the TV Academy (although Rodriguez won a Golden Globe in 2015 for best actress in a TV comedy). Emmy voters have one more year to get it right.
Will Any Other Jane the Virgin Characters Appear in This Show?
According to Snyder Urman, "Probably not the first year." She noted that if the show makes it to a second season - provided it gets picked up to series in the first place - and they get time to establish new characters and settings, "we can see what comes. But, I mean, I love this cast. I'd be lucky to work with every single one of them again, and I really hope to." We now have renewed faith that she will, given a recent Instagram post from star Jacqueline Grace Lopez that shows her standing with Ivonne Coll, who plays Alba on JTV. "Goddess," Lopez captioned a cute shot of them hugging. "A privilege to work with this angel and call her Mom." So, it seems Coll will once again be playing a matriarch of some sort!
Overall, having JTV stars or characters pop up in the spinoff honestly isn't that far-fetched of an idea given what we know about Jane's writing. Her first book, Snow Falling (which you can actually buy IRL), is inspired by her own life. Set in early 1900s Miami, it's a love triangle among a hotel employee, the railroad tycoon who owns the hotel, and the police officer to whom she's betrothed. Sure, it only has three and a half stars on Goodreads, but maybe her second book will fare better! Why else would it have scored a $500,000 price tag, right?
The Cast For Season One Is Already Coming Together
Though we probably won't be seeing Jane, Xiomara, or Alba in the first season, we will be seeing some other familiar faces! East Los High's Jacqueline Grace Lopez and Weeds alum Hunter Parrish have been cast as two of the show's leads, Estela and Felix. Similar to how Jane was torn between Michael and Rafael in JTV, Estela will be torn between her boyfriend, Luen (Spider-Man: Far From Home's Remy Hii), and Felix (Parrish), a handsome rich guy.
Former Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross will also star as Felix's "glamorous mother," Renata, who co-owns a winery with her son and will stop at nothing to secure her son's legacy, even if it means standing in the way of his happiness." Just like a telenovela! As far as the rest of the cast is concerned, you can expect to see Holland Roden (Teen Wolf), Benito Martinez (Sons of Anarchy), Federico Dordei (2 Broke Girls), and more.
The Setting Will Be Different
While Jane the Virgin is set in the colorful, vibrant world of a Miami luxury hotel known as The Marbella, Snyder Urman confirmed that Jane the Novela "will be set in Napa Valley at the intersection of wine and art." That's a twist, since we don't know if Jane knows much about Northern California. She doesn't take a research trip this season, but maybe we can assume she later goes there on her honeymoon with Raf? Or helps Petra scout a new location for the expanding Marbella brand? The Tone Will Be the Same
Snyder Urman did stress that the two projects have the same bones and the new one would also have "magical realism and a very actively imaginative heroine." (Hmm. That sounds familiar). Jane the Virgin trademarks like the pun-themed hashtags that appear on screen would also carry on to the new show. We also have been told that the spinoff focuses on a family that fails to keep its secrets buried for long. Think of all the dead bodies buried at or near The Marbella (Rafael's dad! Scott!) or found there (Anezka!).
Maybe they will inspire one of Jane's stories? Snyder Urman did say that there are "little hints here and there" to these stories in this season of Jane the Virgin, "but you've gotta really dig in." Good thing the fifth season is coming to Netflix soon so we can re-watch and try to spot some clues!

Miami Dolphins' Hall of Fame Linebacker Nick Buoniconti Dead at 78: 'The Heartbeat of Our Team'
Nick Buoniconti, the Miami Dolphins Hall of Famer who helped lead the NFL team to back-to-back Super Bowl championships, has died. He was 78.
The tragic news was confirmed by a number of Nick’s loved ones, including his family spokesman Bruce Bobbins, who told ESPN that the former linebacker died on Tuesday in Bridgehampton, New York.
Nick’s cause of death was not immediately known but comes a little over two years after he revealed that he was suffering from memory loss, among other ailments, and could no longer use his left hand, according to ESPN.
His son Marc Buoniconti — who was paralyzed at the age of 19 from football, leading Nick to develop the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, which he helped raise millions of dollars for — also issued a statement to ESPN and praised his father for his talents on and off the field.
“Today, with a heavy heart and profound sorrow, my family and the entire Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and Buoniconti Fund community mourn the loss of a man who was truly larger than life, my father, NFL Hall of Famer Nick Buoniconti,” Marc, 52, told the outlet.
“My dad has been my hero and represents what I have always aspired to be: a leader, a mentor and a champion,” he added.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Nick was always considered an undersized player at 5’11” and 220 pounds, but didn’t let that stop him from playing offensive guard and defensive linebacker at Notre Dame, according to his bio on the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Though he wasn’t immediately drafted by the NFL, the Boston Patriots (who changed their name to the New England Patriots in 1971 after relocating to Foxborough, MA) eventually selected Nick to be on their team in the 13th round of the 1962 American Football League (AFL) draft.
From 1962 to 1968, Nick played as a middle linebacker for the Patriots and racked up a number of accomplishments, including 24 career interceptions — three of those occurred during a game in 1968 — which remains ranked as seventh in team history.
During his time on the Patriots, he was also named to the AFL All-Star Game five times and helped the team win the 1963 AFL Eastern Division title, according to his bio.
In 1969, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins but remained a driving force on their team’s defense, as well, earning team MVP in his debut season and two more times in 1970 and 1973.
Most notably, he helped lead the team to back-to-back Super Bowl titles in 1973 — a team that finished with an unprecedented and undefeated 17-0 record on the season — and 1974.
In 2001, the NFL player, who competed for a total of 14 seasons, was inducted to the Professional Football Hall of Fame.
Following his days on the field, Nick spent his time raising his children, working as a broadcaster, businessman, and attorney, and dedicating his efforts to charitable causes, including the paralysis fund he co-founded in 1985, ESPN reports.

The former linebacker also revealed in November 2017 that he would donate his brain for CTE research, according to the outlet.
“This is not easy, it’s difficult. I’m not half the man I used to be,” he said at the time. “My life, as I know it, has been taken away from me … I don’t do this for myself. I do it for the thousands of others who will follow me.”
In the wake of his death, many have paid tribute to the football all-star, including the teams he once played for and many of his former coaches and teammates.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Nick Buoniconti,” wrote the Miami Dolphins, while the New England Patriots added, “We are saddened to learn of the passing of Nick Buoniconti.”

Nick’s former teammate and safety Dick Anderson called the news of his friend’s passing a “difficult day.”
“Nick was the leader of our defense and another coach on the field,” he said on the website. “As great a player as he was on the field, and he was a Hall of Famer, he was even more impactful off the field with all the work he did with the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis after the injury to his, Marc.”
Nat Moore, a former NFL wide receiver, called Nick “one of our greats” and said he would “never be matched.”
“It’s a real sad day for the Dolphins and our alumni. We lost one of our greats with the passing of Nick Buoniconti,” Moore wrote in a statement on the website. “He was a great football player, a true Hall of Famer, but he was much more than that.”

3 German Tourists Found Dead Near Alaskan Glacier by a Kayak Guide Giving a Group Tour
Authorities in Alaska are investigating the death of three German tourists whose bodies were discovered near Valdez Glacier on Tuesday.
Sheri Pierce, a spokesperson for the city of Valdez, told Anchorage Daily News that a kayak guide spotted the three bodies just before 10 a.m. during a group tour at the Valdez Glacier Lake.
The victims were identified as a married couple, both 67, and a 62-year-old man. They were retrieved by responders over four hours after they were initially discovered by the kayak guide, at around 2 p.m.
According to the outlet, two of the bodies were floating in the water near the toe of Valdez Glacier, while the third body was found on an ice floe.
Pierce noted that the three tourists, who were wearing life jackets, are believed to have been inside an inflatable canoe before they died.

“It’s dangerous getting near the face of glaciers like that,” Pierce told Anchorage Daily News, adding that the glacier’s shedding ice delayed the response of the rescue team that retrieved the three bodies.
The cause of death has yet to be determined by investigators, but Pierce said that foul play is not suspected.

“If they were knocked out of the boat due to a wake or a calving piece of ice, the water is very cold,” she noted.
Valdez Glacier Lake, which is located about 7 miles northeast of Valdez and 120 miles east of Anchorage, has been a popular tourist location for years, with views of the Chugach Mountains and Valdez Glacier.
The ice on the Valdez Glacier has been “more or less retreating for the last 10,000 years,” according to its website, which notes that the tourist destination is worth seeing in the warm climate before the glacier continues to decrease in size.

“But that shows that I really cared,” she added about Cameron. “Because I didn’t want him to have boogies on camera. So I just went in there and got ’em for him.”
Nonetheless, the Alabama beauty will still miss other things about Cameron, 26 — especially the fun and easy rapport they had with one another.
“It’s really easy to just — I can pick on him, and he can pick on me,” she said.

Brown also dished on other men from her season — she’ll miss Mike Johnson’s smile, for instance, and has a love-hate relationship with John Paul Jones’ long conversations about pasta — as well as longtime host Chris Harrison.
“What I’ll miss most about Chris, is just having him be my dating counselor,” Brown reflected. “And Papa Bear when he needs to come in and take care of these boys.”
But the Papa Bear role does come with its drawbacks, as Brown said she won’t miss Harrison’s constant teasing. “He’s such a little nitpicker!” she said. “But I can give it right back to him so it doesn’t matter.”
On Tuesday evening, Bachelor Nation watched as Brown’s journey on The Bachelorette concluded with the end of her engagement to Jed Wyatt, leaving her single and ready to mingle.
Brown ended her interview with PEOPLE by saying she hopes that she can remain friends with some of her exes — and it seems as though she has her eye on one man in particular, boogies and all.

Cameron is on the same page, saying he cherishes Brown, but doesn’t think it’s healthy “to jump into anything right away.”
“I think we need to be friends and see where life takes us,” he added. “Whatever happens, happens.”

Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant Crawls Into Plane's Overhead Bin as Passengers Board Aircraft
A Southwest Airlines flight attendant recently crawled into the overhead bin of a plane in Nashville, Tennessee — shocking some passengers.
The attendant had boarding passengers do a do double-take as they looked for a spot to stow their bags.
On Monday, passenger Veronica Lloyd shared a video of the unusual moment to Twitter and questioned the attendant’s antics.
“Is this a dream @SouthwestAir ?,” she wrote. “I can’t get over how weird I find this. @SouthwestAir please get it together.”

Lloyd later tweeted a photo of the smiling Southwest flight attendant looking comfy and content nested inside the overhead bin. The woman stayed in the luggage storage area “for a solid 10 minutes,” Lloyd told Fox News.
“It was very interesting,” she added. “I think she was doing it to try and be funny and make the passengers laugh.”

Southwest later tweeted Lloyd to ask her more information about the incident.
“Sounds like we could learn a bit more. Mind DMing your confirmation number? -Shelley,” a customer service representative tweeted.
Many social media users then feared that the flight attendant would get in trouble and begged for the airline to see the funny side.

“Aw guys don’t fire her just make sure she is in the overhead bin the right way so other luggage can fit,” one user wrote.
“Be nice. One of the reasons we love flying SWA is because of your fun-loving attendants,” another added.
Southwest did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment but told Fox News that the employee was trying to make the flight more fun.
“Southwest Employees are known for demonstrating their sense of humor and unique personalities,” the airline said in a statement to Fox.

Brie Larson seems to have a new man in her life.
The Captain Marvel actress, 29, was photographed kissing actor and virtual reality director Elijah Allan-Blitz in Calabasas, California on Tuesday.
The two went shopping at a local supermarket, Lazy Acres, where Larson wore an orange floral dress while Allan-Blitz went casual in a white T-shirt and black jeans.
Allan-Blitz guest-starred in The Shield, and short films such as Full Ride, Envoy and In This Life. He also worked as a virtual reality director for TIME magazine.
He previously dated actress Maria Bello. The two were first spotted together in late 2015.
A rep for Larson did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment. Allan-Blitz did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
The sighting comes six months after Larson called off her engagement to actor and musician Alex Greenwald.
“They have taken a step back from their engagement for the time being but they remain close,” a source told PEOPLE at the time.
The Oscar-winning actress got engaged to Greenwald in May 2016 following several years of dating.

Mom, 33, Pays Off $77K Debt Thanks to These 3 Budgeting Methods: ‘First Comes Awareness’
Kumiko Love managed to pull herself out of thousands of dollars of debt thanks to a three-step plan she devised and is now sharing on her blog, “The Budget Mom.”
Love, 33, was under a mountain of student loan debt that she struggled to pay off while raising her young son as a single mom, she explained to NBC News.
“I tried every budgeting method out there,” Love told the outlet. “Percentage budgeting, calendar budgeting, I tried the cash envelopes, I tried the half payment method, I tried monthly budgeting, and every single time at the end of the month I would come up short.”
Even though she worked in finance, nothing seemed to work. That is, until she changed her mentality and started to budget paycheck-to-paycheck, instead of the entire month.
“When I started budgeting my money by paycheck every single time I got paid, and I was allocating every dollar for a purpose when I received my paycheck,” she told NBC, “I started finding myself succeeding, I started finding myself actually saving money and having more to throw down towards debt.”
That is how her “budget-by-paycheck method” was born, and it helped her finally pay down her $77,000 in debt in about three years.
What’s the best thing about her method? It can be distilled down to three parts.
First, the Calendar Method: Love advises identifying the regular bills you receive each month, like phone, electricity and rent. Once you have them, assign the days they are due and the expected amount you will owe. (Don’t forget to mark days where you may see a jump in expenses, like birthdays and Christmas.)

Step two is the Paycheck Method: sit down and create a budget for each paycheck you’ll receive, and pick what bills you’ll pay for each paycheck (the first paycheck of the month may pay the gas bill, while the second will cover Netflix).
“First comes awareness, and then comes progress,” she told Good Morning America.

This will help to give each dollar a specific purpose.
Step three involves the Cash Envelope System: after getting steps one and two done, you’re left to figure out how much to set aside for things like groceries, gas, entertainment and outings. Then, each month, lower those expenses a bit. Spend $100 on gas every month? Aim to make it $90 the next.
You’ll then get cash out in the amount you designated for these bills and place them in envelopes to keep you from overspending. Whatever money is left over will be used for long-term financial goals.
“I am a firm believer that my budgeting method can work for anyone, no matter their income size or schedule,” Love told Good Morning America. “As long as you put in the work to make it personal and realistic to your own life, there is no doubt in my mind that you can be successful.”

Jason Momoa Will Seek Revenge in Netflix's Upcoming Thriller Sweet Girl
Jason Momoa is set to produce and star in a new Netflix revenge thriller called Sweet Girl. The Aquaman actor will play Cooper, a shattered husband and loving father who is committed to avenging the death of his wife. While he brings justice to those responsible for her death, he must keep his only daughter safe during all those intense fight scenes.
Momoa reunited with long-time friend Brian Andrew Mendoza, who will make his feature directorial debut with Sweet Girl. Mendoza and Momoa previously collaborated on 2018 thriller Braven. Brad Peyton and Jeff Fierson are also on board to produce Sweet Girl, with Martin Kistler executive producing. Peyton worked with Momoa before in the production of Canadian drama series Frontier.

Utah Man Dies After Falling from a 'Significant Height' Near the Peak of Mountain
A 43-year-old Utah man tragically fell to his death near the peak of Squaw Mountain.
At around 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, the Provo Police Department received an alarming call about a hiker being stuck on a rock face.
The call had come from the man’s friend, Provo Police said in a statement shared on Twitter.
Utah County Search and Rescue responded to the incident and found that the man’s GPS coordinates showed he was in Rock Canyon, police said.
They promptly began emergency rescue efforts and found the hiker, but it was too late.
“Utilizing the UHP helicopter, the remains of the hiker were located,” Provo Police said on Twitter. “Preliminary investigations showed the male fell from a significant height.”
“He was alone just up in the canyon hiking,” Sgt. Nisha King with Provo police told Fox 13 Salt Lake City.
“I don’t have the specific height that he fell from, but I do know it was a very significant height,” King told the outlet. “Originally we received a report that he was just below the flag, which as you can see is extremely treacherous.”
Our Search and Rescue responded. Utilizing the UHP helicopter, the remains of the hiker were located. Preliminary investigations showed the male fell from a significant height. The hiker was identified as a 43 year old Provo resident.

After locating the man’s body, emergency responders were able to remove his remains thanks to the Utah Highway Patrol, Fox 13 reported.
“It was actually very helpful that we had the UHP helicopter to come and assist us. That’s actually how the remains of this gentleman were removed from the mountain,” King said.

In wake of the man’s horrifying death, King is warning the public to be cautious of taking on the excursion.
“Total round trip, you’re looking at a five-hour hike,” King said to Fox 13 of Rock Canyon. “It’s beautiful, but you want to be prepared. Know what your skill level is. Wear the appropriate footwear.”
The hiker’s name has not yet been revealed to the public.

Amber Portwood's Boyfriend Andrew Glennon Speaks Out After Her Arrest: 'The Future's Unknown'
Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood‘s boyfriend, Andrew Glennon, is speaking out about Portwood’s arrest earlier this month after she allegedly attacked him while he was holding their 14-month-old son, James.
Glennon, 35, filed for custody of James shortly after her arrest and says that he is now trying to cultivate as safe an environment as possible for the toddler.
“I need to do what’s right for James and I need to take the right steps for myself,” he said, speaking to the Daily Mail TV in an interview published on Monday.
“The future’s unknown,” he said. “All I know is what I need to do, like, right now, and that is to provide James with a safe, secure happy environment.”
Glennon said that the incident, which allegedly took place on July 5, brought his world crashing down.
“If you could imagine having your whole world and everything that you love flipped upside down in a heartbeat, that’s it,” he told the Daily Mail. “There’s gonna be a lot of healing that needs to be done and repairing between James and I.”
Nearly two weeks after Portwood, 29, was arrested and charged with domestic battery, she posted a cryptic message on Instagram about infidelity, leading some to wonder if Glennon had cheated on her.

But Glennon told the Daily Mail that the message was not about him.
“My name was never mentioned in the post that she released,” he said. “I guess it was just rough timing.”
“People are just going to slap it on me,” he added. “It’s a bashing of my character, and what hurts, I guess, is the fact that she hasn’t come out and made a statement to say, ‘You know, I wasn’t talking about Andrew, I was talking about somebody else.'”
This isn’t the first time that Portwood has had problems with domestic violence. She previously served 17 months for domestic violence after a fight with ex Gary Shirley in 2010.
Shirley tweeted in support of Portwood — with whom he shares their 10-year-old daughter Leah — on Monday, saying he wishes her well.
“All I could ask is for is @AmberLPortwood to be happy & healthy. She has all of my support when #TeenMomOG continues this Monday with a new episode at 9/8c on @MTV!” he wrote, adding hashtags urging fans to watch the show.
Glennon told the Daily Mail that after the incident, both he and James will no longer be appearing on the MTV reality series.

Florida Nurse Saves Driver Who Stopped Breathing and Had No Pulse After He Crashed into Her Home
A Florida nurse is being praised for jumping into action and saving a man’s life after he crashed his car into her home recently.
Kissimmee native Carmen Roman has never hesitated when it comes to helping others who are in need, Fox 35 Orlando reports.
“If I’m in the moment, and I know I can do something, I will react,” she told the outlet. “I just love to help people.”
It was that willingness to assist others that ultimately saved a man’s life on Thursday afternoon after he swerved off her neighborhood’s road and crashed his vehicle into her house.
At the time of the incident, Roman was home and shocked to learn that a car had slammed into her bathroom wall.
“I thought someone was parking in my house and all the sudden he just, ‘Boom!’ Hit my house,” she recalled to Fox 35, adding that she felt lucky her children were not using the bathroom at the time of the crash.

When she came outside to survey the damage, Roman discovered that the driver was unresponsive behind the wheel with “no pulse and no heartbeat.”
In surveillance footage of the accident, the nurse’s quick instincts are displayed she ran over to the driver’s side window and began to perform chest compressions on the man.
“I start doing what I had to do and gave him 30 compressions,” Roman explained to Fox 35, noting that within “a couple of seconds after, he came back alive.”
After emergency crews arrived, the man appeared to be in better condition and was even featured on the security cameras walking beside the damaged car and first responders.

Roman’s home, meanwhile, has suffered a great deal of damage.
“The inside of the house is all coming out,” she shared with the local outlet. “The whole insulation from the wall is in my bathroom.”
Despite the fact she’ll now require her home to be repaired, Roman said she’s happy to have been involved with the incident.
“It feels awesome,” the nurse admitted. “My kids are so proud, they’re like, ‘Momma’s a hero!'”
At this time, it remains unclear whether the man will face charges for the crash.
Officers at the Kissimmee Police Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Idris Elba Is the 'Happiest' He's Been After Marrying Sabrina Dhowre: 'It Was Love at First Sight'
Idris Elba is over the moon after marrying Sabrina Dhowre.
The Hobbs & Shaw actor, 46, opened up about marrying the model while on The View on Tuesday. Elba spoke about Dhowre and their Moroccan wedding, which was held in April.
“It’s been an interesting year, a lot happened,” he said, before explaining why he was initially against getting married. “I have been married before and I famously said I wouldn’t get married again. But I met someone that opened me up.”
He continued, “I’m actually the happiest I’ve been in a long time.”
Elba met Dhowre at a party in Vancouver while filming The Mountain Between Us with costar Kate Winslet. The couple got engaged in February 2018.
“It was love at first sight,” Elba said. “I went out on my only day off, true story, it was a Sunday night, I went to this party and there she was. The rest is history.”
As for what makes Dhowre “the one,” Elba told PEOPLE in November they have “good chemistry.”
“She makes me laugh, and we share common goals. She makes me happy,” he said. “She makes me celebrate my successes and when I’m not too sure about stuff, she makes me think.”

The actor also spoke about his daughter, Isan, 17, who served as the Golden Globe Ambassador in January. (He also has a son, Winston, 5, from a separate relationship.)
“She did really good. She was very nice. She’s not shy, but she’d never done anything like that,” Elba gushed. “I was very proud of her.”

As for what she wants to do in life, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
“She wants to be an actress,” Elba said before jokingly waving an elbow to the side. “I want her to do whatever she wants. I think she’s going to be a producer. She’s all about the money and how much box office, the perks. I think she’ll be a producer.”

Colin Jost Says He Was 'So Scared of Marriage' Before Getting Engaged to Scarlett Johansson
Colin Jost wasn’t always a fan of getting married — until he met Scarlett Johansson.
The Saturday Night Live comedian, 37, performed stand-up at the Guild Hall in the Hamptons on Saturday night to benefit celiac disease research.
When the crowd noticed his ring, he delved into marriage, saying, “I’m getting married and it’s such a crazy thing,” according to Page Six.
“I was so scared of marriage for so long because every time I talked to someone who just got married, or was about to get married, is like, ‘Oh my God, you got to do it … What could go wrong?'” he joked.
Jost continued, “Then you talk to someone who’s been married for five years, and they’re like, ‘Don’t rush into it … you have your whole life ahead of you. Don’t have kids. They’re the worst.'”
Johannson, 34, and Jost became engaged in May after two years of dating. The actress’ publicist Marcel Pariseau confirmed the news to the Associated Press.
The Avengers: Endgame star debuted her 11-carat engagement ring earlier this month while taking the stage at San Diego Comic-Con for her upcoming Black Widow film.
In May of this year, a source told PEOPLE that the pair had bonded over a similar sense of humor — particularly their shared love of sarcasm.

Johansson was previously married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2010 and Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017, with whom she shares a daughter. This will be Jost’s first marriage.

According to E! News on Monday, Kylie Jenner and Scott Disick‘s girlfriend — who recently traveled to Turks and Caicos to celebrate the second drop of Kylie Skin — have “formed an irreplaceable bond.”

Reportedly, the two became closer after the makeup mogul’s fallout with Woods — who was accused of (but has denied) hooking up with Khloé Kardashian‘s baby daddy Tristan Thompson.
Per the insider:
“Sofia really helped Kylie through the emotional roller coaster during the Jordyn situation… She was really there for her and took her side through everything. The situation with Jordyn made them closer.”
The Kylie Cosmetics founder also reportedly trusts Nicole Richie‘s sister with her 1-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster.
“Kylie also trusts Sofia around Stormi, which is very important to her. Sofia has been around since Stormi was born and Kylie feels comfortable with having her around her child after getting to know her better… They have now formed an irreplaceable bond.”
The source continued:
“Kylie loves how fun Sofia is and has been inviting her over to her house more often to hang just the two of them. They love staying home and watching movies and cooking together while hanging with Stormi. Kylie knows whenever she wants a girls’ night out on the town, she can always count on Sofia for a good time.”
Speaking of a “girls’ night out on the town,” on Saturday, the two — along with mutual friends Yris Palmer and another gal pal — went to the Nice Guy in West Hollywood.
A second insider divulged:
“They were siting and talking for hours. Kylie looked great and seemed to be in a good mood… Sofia got up at one point with her friend and went to the main bar and then was dancing to the music. They all seemed to have several drinks and were letting loose together.”
Though the first source noted it took a “very long time for Sofia to be accepted into the family” because of her relationship with Kourtney Kardashian‘s ex, “once more time passed and [the Kardashian-Jenner’s] got to know her better, they understood why her and Scott are a great match and ended up loving her as a person… They consider her part of the family now and it’s an amazing dynamic.”
Speaking of Kourt:
“Kourtney is thrilled that Kylie has found a bond with Sofia. She thinks it’s great for Kylie and loves that everyone can get along and spend time together… She has seen firsthand how much of a support system Sofia has been for Kylie, and it makes Kourtney feel even better about her dynamic with Sofia as well. There is no more awkwardness or tension like there was a year ago.”
Despite her relationship with Disick, Richie has an independent friendship with Jenner — with the insider pointing out:
“If Sofia and Scott were to ever break up, her and Kylie would still be very good friends.”
